    1. This is my first ever review to give on a book, so I hope I do it okay. My sister told me I should take notes and write them down in a little notebook. I will do that the next time. This is the first book I have read by Mr. Martinez and the first time reading a book of this style. I have to say I did not like the book at all. I did not like the way Ariel was always on the "poor pitiful me" kick. My biggest issue of the whole book was every time something "bad" happened to her all she thought abou [...]

    2. This book was a genuine delight to read. The writing was much smoother than the first book of the series "Advance Guard." It made the story just flow. This is the "memoir" of Ariel, the dragonwoman who is a member of the CIA/Navy Black Ops team. It is told in the form of an interview with a blogger. It isn't question/answer but is written as transcripts of recordings the blogger made. I liked how the author inserted himself directly into the story by being the blogger. That was a very nice touch [...]

    3. This book has a little bit of everything! Native American life, college, military operations, supernatural soldiers, terrorists, religion, demons, angels, magic, and a sweet love story or two. Phew! Martinez does a fantastic job of weaving such a diverse story together to make sense and above all, entertain. I was very impressed.I haven’t read the first book of the series, so I cannot compare. The writing was smooth and perfectly descriptive. All of the scenes and characters were easy to pictu [...]

    4. *I received this book free, in exchange for a review*This is the story of Ariel Sharpe; Navajo Indian, daughter, mother, member of the black ops and more. All thru school Ariel is an ace student and then a rising star in the Navy. She leaves the Navy to join a secret Military group that doesn’t official exist. In this group she is paired up with a lab creation, that she is bonded too. The bond is so strong they become one. Ariel joins a group of others; a wizard, a Guardsman, and a hybrid just [...]

    5. This is a great science fiction novel. It is about Ariel, who is a native american. She joins the navy and is put into an experimental program, paired with a dragon. She ends up turning partially into a dragon. it then goes through what she goes through in her life. It is written as a interview format.

    6. This book had it's good points and it's bad points. It was definitely a Christian book, and waffled from preachy to not preachy any number of times. The story is of an American Indian girl who grows up in a very sheltered way on the reservation. She is extremely intelligent and religious as well. Her life leads her to the military, where the U.S. Government does things that change her life forever - literally, and so she gets recruited into a Black Ops Squad where she fights under the radar, inc [...]

    7. 3 1/2 stars. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. At first I was a little leery of reading this book. The first book of the series, The Advance Guard, had not really impressed me all that much, and I was afraid this series would go the way most series go.wnhill, with the first being the best. My biggest complaint in the review of the first book was the lack of character development. And now I understand why.The second book is all about Ariel, whom, as [...]

    8. I really enjoyed this sample reading. I can tell the author put a lot of work into this one, & Im wondering what happens.
