    1. This book should have a name change. Texana Jones lives in a very small desert town next to the Mexican border. 2. I enjoyed the Texas/Mexico border (cozy?) series featuring Texana Jones. My first choice for a reread would probably be the River Master. Death of the River Master: A Texana Jones MysteryThe copied "KIRKUS REVIEWAs if there weren’t already enough crime in tiny Polvo, Texas, trading-post owner Texana Jones, returning from root-canal work across the Mexico border, comes upon a dead body in a waiting cab. A whisper of her powerful acquaintance Gordon Suarez (Death of a Saint Maker, 1998) springs [...]

    3. A nice little murder mystery that takes place along the Texas-Mexico border. A Texas woman is almost charged with murder when she crosses the border to see a dentist. From their she uncovers an old mystery and murder from years before. This book is not going to win any literary awards, but it is interesting and enjoyable. Recommended to mystery fans.
