    1. Ahhh… What a story! I have so many feelings about this novel that I do not know where to begin. Let me start by saying…no matter what criticisms I have, I absolutely adored the book. The characters were dynamic and intriguing. The story itself was very interesting. But…before going into all of that, let’s talk about the characters.Anya – A vampire who will forever be 16. She has unique powers I dream about having…especially since I have children. It would be great to just speak and t [...]

    2. First of all, there are a ton of good reviews on this book so my opinion will not be very popular. And for that I am sorry. I think the idea behind the story was really good and unique but I could not get passed the technical issues. I know I have positively reviewed books with technical issues before but in those cases the issues did not trip me up constantly and force me to have to put it down out of frustration. The sentences were awkwardly worded in some cases, and in other they just did not [...]

    3. 3.5 star review by The Blogger Girls. This was a refreshingly different take on vampires that is quite interesting. In this story, there are basically two kinds of vampires – those who feed on humans, and those who don’t. Anya is one of the latter. She is a teenage girl, though centuries old in vamp years, who is trying to live among the humans by attending high school. Anya has a very mysterious past, of which she has no memory, other than she knows she is a vampire that does not want to har [...]

    4. 3.5 StarsBlood's Voice is a unique tale of vampires and those they love. Anya is a vampire that has no memories of anything previous to the start of the book. She knows she's a vampire and that's about the gist of it. She remembers nothing of her previous life, which makes knowing how to blend into a society of humans that much harder. It helps that she is one of very few vampires that refuses to take blood from humans; she is strictly into animals. Anya decides to enroll in High School to hopef [...]

    5. Anya Millar is not your ordinary vampire. There aren't many like her. Most that are like her are destroyed because they are considered an abomination to their kind. Anya has color in her eyes, they aren't a black void like the eyes of others of her kind. Only the vampires that don't feed from humans have color in their eyes. Anya has a special power though. She can hurt people with her voice. The Educators want to change her. They want to turn her into a weapon. They want to train her to use her [...]

    6. I must admit that before I started reading this book I thought it was like any other book about vampires…. maybe similar to Twilight, but in this case, the girl was the vampire and the boy was the human. But how wrong I was! Don't judge a book by it's cover! Because after reading several pages, I noticed that the story is more complex than that, and that the similarities with Twilight disappear after a few pages.Blood's Voice tells us the story of Anya, a young vampire who suffers from amnesia [...]

    7. First of all, I had a little trouble getting into the book as some of the writing felt very formal. Once I got used to the writing style, it kept my attention and a beautiful tale of romance and redemption unfolded. Anya is a vampire who has special abilities that set her apart from the average vampire. An insatiable desire to protect humans emerges through the entire book as well as her blooming romance with Declan, her human love, and Nicholas her vampire love. Some of the story is hard to foll [...]

    8. A unique spin on vampires, and let's face it, most vamp stories have been done to death. If you want fresh and different, this is your book. If you want a rehash of everything else, keep going. I found compassion for Anya came easily along with the other key characters. Lovers of vampires and PNR will enjoy this one best, and I'd expand that to include mature YA audiences. It didn't take me too long before the plot intrigued me, but my one complaint was the dialogue read a bit too stiff and at ti [...]

    9. This is a well thought out story about a vampire with a strange series of problems. I have never seen a vampire story quite like this one (a good thing about this one is it's different). Anya has no memories and then somehow manages to find herself maneuvering through the human world with two men who love her and an unknown enemy that is hell bent on destroying anything needed to get her back, especially her sanity. I have to say I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more about Anya, D [...]

    10. I really liked this book. You know there are all these vampire/paranormal books out that are too formulaic, and it can get boring. This book is completely different. It's tangled and twisted (in a good way!). The treatment of vampires and their romances is unique, and the main character's story really holds your attention. I am SO looking forward to seeing what happens to all the characters in the book, they bring a special interest all their own. This is one series I will be watching for years [...]

    11. Blood’s Voice is a dark paranormal story. The author does an excellent job of creating real and fascinating characters you can’t help but want to know more about. It was unique and an original spin on vampires. You won’t be disappointed. Clues to Anya’s lost past will keep you turning page after page to find out her secrets. Romance. Suspense. Action. Don’t miss it.

    12. This was an enjoyable read that I finished within a few hours. It moved along at a great pace, has amazing characters and a great story. I look forward to reading more by this talented author in the future.

    13. Anya Millar knows she’s not a normal vampire. She loves humans too much to be a predator. What she doesn’t know is why she can’t remember a thing before waking up in the house of an immortal who has taken her in and cared for her. As Anya begins to piece together the past, with the help of others claiming to be old friends, she finds that some things are better left forgotten. In an effort to move forward with her life and live in harmony with humans, Anya decides high school would be the [...]

    14. I received this book for review from the author as part of her virtual book tour. I did not receive any compensation for my review, and the views expressed herein are my own. This book is about a vampire named Anya, who is forever a teenager. I do not believe her exact age was mentioned, but she is about 16 or 17 years old. She was abducted and held against her will for three decades by a group of mysterious people called The Educators who tried to turn Anya into a lethal weapon. When she finall [...]

    15. This book wasn't bad, really, I just couldn't get into it. I didn't feel anything for the characters and I wasn't interested in the story. Not my cup of tea.

    16. Anya is a vampire with a difference, she has amnesia. She remembers nothing of her life before she woke up at Star's house. Anya is also a vegetarian; she only drinks animal blood; not human. Why? because she doesn't want to hurt humans, so much so she is determined to live a normal life; she goes to school and is friends with 3 humans. Skye, Kayla and Declán. Declán is Kayla's twin brother and Skye's 'boyfriend'.Then there's Nicholas. Nicholas is another vegetarian vampire. He's known Anya fo [...]

    17. bookbreather4lyfeAfter the first few pages of this book, my guard was up. There's a surplus of technical errors made in the writing style. Lack of commas, sentences phrased incorrectly.s like that. Not being one to quit so easily, I continued on with great trepidation. I was really glad that I did! The technical errors continue throughout the story, but for me it was sort of easy to overlook because I was engrossed in a fabulous story and a steamy romance. I'll admit that there were a few quotes [...]

    18. What I liked: 1) There was definitely a unique writing style here. It's written from Anya's point of view, but we got her thoughts as well as her actions, every single one of them. Even those little impressions that she got of people while in general conversation. It was really interesting, and you were never left wondering what Anya was thinking. It was also very real, in that aspect. I know that my own thoughts are often jumbled, and jump around and take a while to sort out. This potentially c [...]

    19. This novel was promising. Oh, so promising. The premise was interesting and the blurb sounded awesome. I liked the fact that Anya was the main character and that she was a vampire who had lost her memories. I also liked parts of Nicholas and Declán's personalities. I completely fell in love with their strange relationship because it took the whole YA love-triangle thing to another level. I could also see that there was a definite vision in this story, something that, if executed properly, would [...]

    20. I struggled to get into this book, but by 35% I was fully vested in finding out what was going on. For me, this mirrored Twilight in a reverse sort of way. She is the vampire and falls in love with a human; who seems to take the fact that she sucks blood to stay alive better than most people would have. And, she is a “vegetarian” vampire… a human lover, who only kills animals to satiate her blood thirst. At times the dialogue is very proper, which is indicative of the age of the vampires, b [...]

    21. Blood’s Voice begins with the main character, Anya Millar, having no idea who she is or anything about her past. This mystery is continued throughout the book with little bits and pieces coming together to give us clues into her past. Anya is just as curious about her past as the reader is, however, Anya’s past spans hundreds of years. This is a new twist on vampires because it contains both, ones that like and will not harm humans, and ones that see humans only as food. Anya’s “mother” [...]

    22. Book Review: 0 treasure box/0 trash canAnya Millar has been a vampire for several hundreds of years, but she has amnesia and cannot remember her past, all she knows for certain is that she will not feed off humans. One of her special gifts is her voice, and not because she can carry a beautiful tune, but because it is a weapon that can be used to control or even kill people, including other vampires.Blood's voice is the first book written by a new author and it is the first book in a proposed se [...]

    23. Just when I thought Vampires were all the same Aine Massie comes in with her unique blend of how vampires are in her book "Blood's Voice". At first I was dragging my feet through the first hundred pages then again for the next hundred. I enjoyed how different the vampires were but I didn't connect well with the main character and I didn't like the dialogue and thats weird for me to say since I rarely dislike how the books are written and the main characters them self. I just felt that Anya was t [...]

    24. This book gives off a distinct vibe of Twilight. To some, that could be viewed as a good thing. But to those who know me and my reading preferences, it made this book a bit less enjoyable than I would have hoped for. Blood's Voice definitely has its unique parts to it, but the plot seemed very much like something I had read before. The author's writing is different than what I'm used to. It took me a bit to get into the book, but once I adjusted to the style of writing I got into the story. With [...]

    25. *This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*I really wanted to like this book. The cover was beautiful, the synopsis sounded exciting, but sadly it just didn't come together for me.The idea behind the story I think was sound but I couldn't connect with any of the characters and the decisions made throughout really didn't make sense to me.I think the originality that I thought I would be getting based on the synopsis may have somehow got lost in the translation to th [...]

    26. This is a well written story of two vampires and a human who fall in love with each other. Anya is a vampire who has lost 30 years of her life and doesn't know what happened during that time and keeps having memories. She has a very special talent that she can use with just her voice. She has people in her past who are hunting her to bring her back. Nicholas is "bonded" to Anya and wants his eternal love back. Anya and Nicholas aren't your normal vampires meaning they do not "hunt" humans for th [...]

    27. Blood Voice by Aine Massie is book # 1 in the House Millar series. I found the storyline for Blood Voice intriguing, but I had a hard time getting through the story because of the way sentences were phrased. At first I wasn't really liking Anya and I found her extremely immature, but as the story progressed I was happy to see that it was all uphill from there. We are introduced to some interesting characters like Nicholas and Declan. There seems to be this interesting chemistry between the three [...]
