    1. Traditional Regency anthology. Note: Traditional Regency means no sexytimes (well, except Mary Balogh's - see below).** Under the Kissing Bough by Sandra Heath - 2.5-3 stars. Pretty standard Regency fare. Country gentry down on their luck has to move out of their manor home into a cottage. The new owner is a London gentleman who spots one of the daughters when she sneaks onto the estate to collect some greenery to use as Christmas decorations. He takes an immediate interest in her and asks for h [...]

    2. Under the Kissing Bough by Sandra Heath ~ 4 starsSeason of Joy by Gayle Buck ~ 1 starThe Viscount and the Hoyden by Laura Matthews ~ 2 starsThe Christmas Mouse by Emily Henrickson ~ 4 starsNo Room at the Inn by Mary Balogh ~ 3.5 starsOverall ~ 3.5 stars

    3. Another collection of Regency set Christmas tales. This isn't the best collection but some of the stories are nice.Under the Kissing Bough by Sandra Heath is a sweet romantic tale unnecessarily complicated by an extremely nasty lady. Sir Philip Levington escapes London with a broken engagement and a broken heart, or so he thinks. He takes refuge in his new estate, Fairhill Park, near Lyme Regis. Fairhill Park was previously the home of the Charlton family who have since fallen on hard times. It' [...]

    4. Under the Kissing Bough - Sandra Heath - Despite several tries, I couldn't get past the first page of this story.Season of Joy - Gayle Buck - A nicely told story of a disagreement; he sees his fiancee hug another man. There's an explanation but he simply won't listen and so goes off to war. He leaves her a note allowing her to terminate the engagement she writes back and they begin a correspondance. Unfortunately, this story is mostly told and only the beginning, where we are there to experience [...]

    5. This may be my favorite of all the Regency Christmas collections. There are a metric ton. I am not the only one who treats holiday stress with mistletoe kisses).I could write reviews on each of the stories, but you should read them all. From Under the Kissing Bough, which includes an extended description of scrumping pinecones, to The Christmas Mouse, which charmingly reminds me of The Reluctant Widow, the whole thing is warm, cheering, charming, and not full of appalling people. It is not curre [...]

    6. Overall a nice collection. All the stories except Mary Balogh's are traditional regency romances. The problem with short romance stories is that there isn't enough pages for the romance to fully develop so they end up unbelievable. Surprisingly only "A christmas mouse" had that feeling.

    7. Stories by five romance authors--Mary Balogh, Gayle Buck, Sandra Heath, Emily Hendrickson, and Laura Matthews--illustrate the romance, pageantry, and celebrations of the holiday season. If one requires a "mood" change, these are the perfect stories to bring about the Christmas spirit.

    8. Actually just read one of these stories in ebook format, Laura Matthews' "The Viscount and the Hoyden." It's a short, sweet holiday story.
