    2. Return to Del (Deltora Quest #8), Emily RoddaReturn to Del is the eighth and final book of the original series of Deltora Quest written by Emily Rodda. It focuses on how Lief, Jasmine, and Barda must return to Del to give the completed Belt to Adin's heir to banish the Shadow Lord from their land.تاریخ نخستین خوانش: هشتم ماه مارس سال 2004 میلادیعنوان: بازگشت به دل؛ نویسنده: امیلی رودا؛ مترجم: محبوبه نجف خانی؛ [...]

    3. With the prior 7 books so great I must admit I was prepared for a little bit of a let down in this final book. I couldn't see any way she could top there other books. But I was truly surprise and would give this one a six if I could. Emily Rodda did in fact come through with a fabulous ending and one I did not expect. And the suspense was there all the way until the end and the final secret was all it should have been and more. A wonderful read. But be sure not to read this one until all the oth [...]

    5. WELL, now! A fitting end to a fun romp, for kids AND adults. This one is filled with surprise after surprise, the clues to which were there all along. The True Heir of Deltora is finally identified (nope, not givin' the name away, wouldn't be prudent, not at this juncture), several characters are not, or perhaps more than, who they may appear, and all this wrapped in a coming together of the Tribes and fights with bad guys and the Big Bad Guy (the Shadow Lord, of COURSE!) In contrast to all the [...]

    6. I enjoyed the series and gave this one the highest ranking because I felt like in towards the end the author started making things a little more fun with a few surprises. This whole series was a great read to be done with a son or daughter who enjoys fantasy. Nothing too dark, nothing too scary. Just entertaining.

    7. This story is captivating in its narrative imagery. Difficult to put down and raced off to read the next one in the series. I couldn't put them down until I read them all! WHAT A GREAT ENDING- I was holding my breath!

    8. ALLLL THE PLOT TWISTSNo regrets about re-reading this. Deltora has a special place in my heart. I don't care what anyone says, ten-year-old-me had pretty great taste in books.

    9. Wow! What an amazing story! This was so much better than I had ever expected it to be. Action, adventure, friendship, danger, and tons of surprises! There are so many moments throughout the entire series where you find yourself in complete and utter shock. Either there was an amazing plot twist, or something happens that makes you wonder if this book is really appropriate for kids. Ms. Rodda does not pull any punches! But, at the same time, this is a perfect series! If you want kids to fall in lo [...]

    10. I love being able to go back to this series every couple of years and enjoy it as much as I did the first time. Wonderful series and one I'll keep rereading for a long time!

    11. Return to Del is a very good book. In Every page of this book there is a new twist on the story, and it makes it that much more interesting. It is the best book in the series and is a good way to end the story of Lief and his friends. I was upset with how it ended, but that didn't really effect how great this book is.This book starts out slow. In the beginning it wasn't that exciting. There wasn't any action, just a buildup to what would happen in the last about 50 pages of the book. Lief figure [...]

    12. What a wonderful conclusion to a fantastic series. The final 6 chapters or so were filled with so many reveals and were so exciting that my son didn't let me stop reading. And since I wasn't disinclined we read the last 50 pages or so in a rush of anticipation. A very satisfying conclusion. Highly recommended for readers of all ages, although occasionally I thought "ooh this is a little brutal for my 7 year old". But what I want to say is that younger kids can enjoy it together with their parent [...]

    13. I started reading this series when I was a lot younger and so when I came to the last book a couple of years later, I guess I just lost interest. I tried to read it but I just sorta gave up and skimmed through it.

    14. this book must have been my favorite out of this series it was so exciting they have all the jewels and the shadow lord has just completely taken over but they save the day when they get the jewels in the right order and put it on the true king

    15. Big plot twists in this one! Very captivating and amazing! Creative and the descriptions were done very well! Loved it!

    16. This is a fantastic conclusion to the first of the Deltora Quests. The gems have all been restored, but the trio still have to find out where the heir to the crown has been hiding. The path to finding the unknown child is filled with tricks and treachery from the Shadow Lord. Every step feels as thought Lief, Barda and Jasmine have taken one further step into the web of deception that has been spun.I love the fact that the truth of the heir is under the trio’s noses the entire time. The best p [...]

    17. How many fucking times can you get an answer wrong? I bet not as many times as the people in this book got the identity of the heir wrong! And where is my giant mech suit? In the anime the belt created a giant human shaped mech suit and the shiny human thing and the Shadow Lord wrestled. (check it on youtube if you don't believe me)But overall, it was a good finish for the series. It was a really frustrating ending but I was kind of happy a the end. Everything paid off, we had a few fairy tale t [...]

    18. Ah for an ending I did find it just a little too confusing at the end - the action scene that leads up to the final confrontation. But apart from that a great series and one that my son and I have enjoyed thoroughly.

    19. amazing end to the first series loved it just makes me want to keep on reading and not stop it was sick real great

    20. Great way to wrap up the first series. Brilliant books with many twists and turns. Rodda is a gifted storyteller.

    21. In my opinion, this book makes a great conclusion to the first Deltora Quest series. I revolves around the series three main protagonists, Lief, Barda and Jasmine who have finally retrieved the seven gems of the belt of Deltora and are on their way back home to face a common enemy. This certain book in the series deals with different themes in comparison to the other novels. It show's the main characters more emotional side to the conflict and how they cope with having their loved ones completel [...]

    22. After a slow start (in which both the characters and plot seemed to struggle for direction a bit), this quickly turns into a fun, fast-paced adventure, and one of the most rewarding of the series. It really ties things together, pulling from all the books that came before it, and contains both some revelations that I'd long foreseen as well as some very big twists and surprises.

    23. I'm going to write a proper review for these series eventually, I swear. But for now, let me just say that I loved Dain more than anyone in the books. I was literally shouting, 'My Boy!' every single scene that he was in. And when he was apparently thought of as the son of Endon, I was like, 'I knew it! *insert loud proud howling noises here*'. Then Lief had to come along and ruin my dreams.Gosh dang it, Lief! Also, God, if only Dain didn't eventually turn out to be a villain. (Not that I'm not [...]

    24. The books are easily simple enough for children as young as seven, but not sophisticated nor complex enough to be captivating for older readers (10/11 +). They are enjoyable, and the storylines could be made into something truly exciting and intriguing, but the format, which is limiting, and the emotional sparseness of the narrative, hamper the books. There is also far too little character development. And the series lacks subtlety when it is needed most, stating the obvious, and then becoming v [...]

    25. A fun series that is remarkably well written. Though written for a younger audience it is worth reading even for adults due to the skill with which the world is crafted.
