    1. This was a quick read that held my attention, but left a lot to be desired. I was confused how 10 year old Gerard became a vampire and the brief details of his death didn't do enough to adequately explain his transformation. There was no mention of a maker, which made it seem like the boy was instead turned by circumstances. If I had to take a guess, I would say that Gerard was more of a psychic vampire, feeding off the energy of his past as opposed to blood. Although that may cover certain aspe [...]

    2. I'm not a fan of vampire tales. I came to read this book because it was a gift from the author. There was no obligation to review it, or even to read it. Since it's only 79 pages, I decided to give it a try. What a haunting story not at all what I expected. This is one you won't forget, involving racism and the loss of innocence. You can hardly beat this for 99 cents on Kindle.
