    1 thought on “Contract Pending”

    1. I have a hard time believing that the main character doesn't see the obvious. It's a fun read despite the naive main character.

    3. This was one heck of a series! With a large dose of mystery, murder, action and drama, and yes romance too it completely rocked!Because I really feel that all of you should read this series I am not going to break each book down but rather give you a summary of sorts, keeping it all as short as possible as to not give it away. The characters from all three books were memorable ones, the author made sure to let each one carry their weight in the sense that each one was unique. The characterization [...]

    4. I'm really enjoying this series and this book is a fast-paced read that held me attention enough for me to read it in one sitting. Ms. Bennett does a terrific job bringing the characters to life, and it was nice to see that Rafe becomes a bit more dimensional in this book; more complicated and more sympathetic. I totally pegged the murderer, but it was still a strong plot and I liked the ending quite a bit. A bit of a cliff-hanger at the end, although it's one that's possibility was introduced i [...]

    5. I enjoyed this book but I did figure out who the killer would be from the previous book. While reading the previous book I also determined that Rafe had a son. The real surprise to me was the author of the bodice ripper books. Wonder what's going to happen with those -- will Savannah take over as author? That would be a real twist and would shock her proper southern family! Speaking of family, now that she has realized that she loves Rafe will she tell her family to mind their own business and f [...]

    6. Really exciting series! The murders are a little gruesome but not too graphic or bothersome. Definitely worth reading! Savannah is a Realtor. She is really good friends with Rafe. Several people die and she is trying to figure out why and how the deaths might be related. Very exciting! The culprit was easier to guess in this one but there are still some twists and it is fast paced and intriguing. Plus there are some surprises. This is a fun quick read. Don't get bogged down with the social circl [...]

    7. I'll admit that the casual racism and snobbery bothered me in the first 2.5 books, but then I came to realize that people don't change that quickly and Savannah is on her way. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

    8. I can't get enough of the Savannah Martin series. I am enjoying these books and can't wait to see the where the characters are going.

    9. This one may be a favorite - at least a favorite of the 3 that I've read. Love Rafe. Don't care too much for Todd. Hopefully is finally out of the picture. I REALLY hate the way the books end. I get that it's a series, but don't leave us hanging. At least I have the next book in hand, I would really be upset if I had to wait months for it to release.

    10. Fresh off reading HOT PROPERTY I decided to pick up the next book in this series, CONTRACT PENDING. This series just gets better and better and I couldn't wait to find out what happens next!Savannah is back to trying to sell real estate and trying to not get into too much trouble. However trouble seems to follow her around when Marquita turns up dead, and it seems like someone is out to kill her and Rafe. It's up to Savannah to find the killer and delve into exactly what her growing affections f [...]

    11. The third in the Savannah Martin Mystery Series is the best of a good thing. The subtle humor and evolving relationships are two of its greatest strengths. Well, that and the irresistible Rafe. When Marquita, care-giver for Rafe's grandmother, disappears while Rafe is out of town, Savannah steps in to help out with the sweet but often confused Mrs. Jenkins. Life gets even more complicated when she encounters a hit man look for Rafe. When someone breaks into her apartment, she has to stay at his h [...]

    12. I read and reviewed this book, along with Books 1 & 2, in the boxed set.Totally enjoying this series! These books have kept my interest. They contain excitement, sadness, loss, crime, murder, romance, and family. Savannah was brought up as a 'proper' Southern lady. Her mother expects her to act and be a certain way. She is expected to marry the right type of man. But, what does a person do when the 'wrong type of man' is on their mind. Rafe was born and raised on the wrong side of the tracks [...]

    13. I am really beginning to love this series. In the first book, I was a bit put off by the social 'classes' described by Savannah, the divorced southern belle turned realtor. The first book, though, set the stage and the base personalities for the rest of the series. Each book was better than the last and the characters were more developed. This book was well-paced, with lots of action, suspense, and surprises. I only wish Savannah would grow up and make decisions without the constant fear of what [...]

    14. There is a lot to like about this series. The mysteries are good and Rafe is a compelling character. Unfortunately I had to stop reading in the middle of book 3 because I can't take Savannah's snotty, upper class attitude. There are good reasons not to sleep with Rafe - he may be a criminal and he is definitely a player, not looking for a long term commitment. But Savannah's real reasons for not sleeping with him are because he is "common", biracial, and her mother wouldn't approve. And when Sav [...]

    15. Ooooookay, this was much better. I gave book #2 a very low rating and ended my review hoping that in later books she'd somehow grow and drop the "I'm a well-bred, white Southern Belle who puts the opinion of others before her own happiness" attitude. And she did! Kind of It's early days for New Savannah but I like where this is heading. I like how she started to show more emotions (wasn't hard to do, considering how she could put Kristen Stewart to shame)and actually saw how she (and everyone el [...]

    16. Savannah Martin returns in the third book in the series. She's finally made a sale and is waiting for the appraisal to come in when someone breaks into her apartment and destroys her bedroom. Given her recent history, the police take an interest and it isn't long before the threats against her are linked with the man who isn't her boyfriend, Rafael Collier.Contract Pending is another cozy mystery starring Savannah and is set in Tennessee. I love the mysteries themselves and enjoy the switchbacks [...]

    17. Oh how I wish Savannah would just can the Southern belle crap and tell everyone to get over it. She sacrifices herself for image sake. It makes me want to scream. Rafe is worth so much more than simpering Todd, the golden boy her family thinks is satisfactory. I'm tired of Savanah always making decissions based on what her family thinks is right. If they truly care about her instead of their image they'd want her happy and protected. Protected, not smothered, not a token wife. Dix is the only on [...]

    18. Yet another great Savannah mystery! I am glad one plot line finally moved closer to where I wanted it to go - Bennett definitely delivered! Although I figured out a key in that plot early on, I was glad to see I had guessed correctly. I'm now at the point where Todd really grates on my nerves and wouldn't mind if he was the next victim. I figured out the killer a bit early on this one but still enjoyed it. Another solid recommendation from me on this one!

    19. I. LOVE. This. Series!!! Savannah and Rafe and just socredible. I can't turn the pages fast enough to see when Rafe is going to show up and sweep Savannah off her feet and invest in her like no one else in her family can. I will say, I am tired of Rafe leaving and being goneI understand it builds suspense but I wish there were some contact letting each of them know how crazy they are for one another.

    20. Contract Pending is another fantastic read by Jenna Bennett. It is the third book in the Savannah Martin Mystery Series. They just keep getting better and better. Savannah and Rafe? Savannah and Todd? Oh the surprises you will find in this mystery. If you like romance and mystery this is a series I highly recommend. FTC Full Disclosure: I received a free copy from the author and chose it for review.

    21. This is my favorite so far. Jenna has a gift of writing such descriptive characters that they leap right off the page. The plotting was great on this one and I liked the way it built from the previous books.Savannah and Rafe are such awesome characters. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

    22. Loved it! Even though constantly pointing out that Savannah was brought up as a lady and a relationship with Rafe is unthinkable is a little annoying. Otherwise it is a page turner. I enjoy how the background story is developing with each mystery and can't wait to get my hands on the next installment.

    23. #3 in the Savannah Martin mysteries. "A Cutthroat Business"Struggling realtor, Savanna, has found a few dead bodies. some in the houses she's trying to sell.In this one, she gets close to Rafe, only to have him leave again. This one kept moving very fast and easy to read. I did not get side-tracked.

    24. Okay I spent the last 5 days reading the 10 current novels of this series and two short stories. Yes it was that good, in fact I didn't stop to update my feed so I'll put this short review on the whole dang set. its a goodread, go for it.

    25. I really like this series. However, if Savannah's mother calls her "Darling" one more time Give me a break.
