    1. Türkler hakkında fazlasıyla araştırma yapmış. Gerek tarih olsun gerekse siyaset.

    4. I put this book on hold from the library not because I knew what it was about or that it had been recommended to me, but because I knew that they’d made a movie out of it…and the movie was French. I have a soft spot for French movies . But because the movie isn’t available at my library, I had to read the book first. And now, I have a soft spot for French books.I haven’t read a book in years that has captured my attention so well. From the very first sentence, I was hooked. For the first [...]

Bunl [...]

    7. It is actually strange book and it is the first book that read which most things are about my country. Thats why it was a different experience for me.

    8. First off, this is not a werewolf story, which is what I had thought it was from the title. It is a French novel about a 31-year-old woman in Paris who is having issues with her memory. Known faces were becoming unfamiliar. Most alarmingly, she feels as if she does not recognize her own husband, a muckety muck in the local constabulary. Brought to a familiar doctor, she begins to feel paranoid, as if the doc and husband are somehow not looking after her best interests. One thing leads to another [...]

    10. Someone please help me Through the first 100 pages I had the distinct feeling I had read this before, possibly with a few minor variations. As usual for Jean-Christophe Grangé , the build-up is strong. We meet some interesting characters, though quite stereotyped, and are thrown into the fire right away.Slowly what you think is the plot is unveiled and you begin guessing in what direction this will turn. My bet is your guess is as wrong as mine because the story sidetracks a few times. Unfortun [...]

    13. The fiction is amazing. The story ends up in one of the most beautiful places in İStanbul. The caracters are pretty admirable.

    16. There are too many details about moments and descriptions. Probably he thought about his book perhaps be pretty much on these way but no. Because too many sentences for descriptions. The books Gets tired quickly. But I liked generally. Also I want to say we Turks don't bad persons as he has showed via his book hahaha!

    17. Great story, although approximately 60% of it was completely predictable, the book did not cease to amaze me with its twists. Grange's knowledge about Turkish right-wing extremists is also impressive. P.S. İsmail Kutsi and Azer Akarca are fictitious names. Sorry for the disappointment.

    19. Well this was pretty brutal, a good read though, I'll definitely look for more books from this author.

    22. This was a book for a RL book group, though I had already picked it before the group did.It was written in French and translated. The translation was good though there was some awkwardness. There were interminable listings of agencies (police, justice, terrorist, spy) which in French are quite long. The same with streets in Paris. Some paragraphs had very little but streets and agencies. I don't know if it was in the French book or if the translator took French nicknames and expanded them for th [...]

    24. Jean-Christophe Grangé’s The Empire of the Wolves is harrowingly graphic. A secret right-wing Turkish sect is busy butchering its way through the textile-worker community in Paris (all trafficked women from Turkey). The wife of a senior bureaucrat is having violent flashbacks that lead her towards paranoia and breakdown. The policeman investigating the serial killings is forced to rope in a retired colleague, a man who has been well-known for his efficiency in keeping crime down in the Turkis [...]
