    1. I absolutely loved this book. I will now have to read her other books. I am not one to enjoy period novels but my goodness can she write. It was the perfect balance of history, relationships and action! A wonderful page turner that was was wonderfully written! Phillipa has a new fan!

    2. Loved it. All the books show how women were at the mercy of others, and if they had the audacity to plot their own course, they were persecuted. The books make you happy to be a woman at a time when we have been empowered to make our own destinies.

    3. Amazing how families are ruthless and loveless to their own blood. And how the women waited and had been belittled in hopes to be chosen. Glad I live in modern times with modern inventions. Always loved the era, but had no idea. She puts in a great deal of research.

    4. Being a fan of historical fiction (and Philippa Gregory), I highly recommend this series. Scandal, murder, etc and all of it actually happened! Well, most of it, at any rate. I'm currently looking for another Philippa Gregory series to start.

    5. I Enjoyed the other Boleyn girl. This book started me on my current interest in English historical fiction in particular Tudor history. I must say though her other books are ok rather than great. When you read her books too much you tend to spot certain biases she has- fir eg, she consistently portrays queen Elizabeth as vacuous and vampish. She is entitled to her view of course, just that I find it rather one dimensional . Also I realize she seems to venerate women who prefer staying home to ra [...]

    6. I haven't read all the books in this set yet, but I did read 'The Other Boleyn Girl' which was really gripping (loved the movie, it was just the same as the book, to me anyhow) and 'The Bolyne Inheritance. The latter I just finished yesterday and to say I was enthralled with it is putting it mildly. A taut tale from 3 viewpoints of 3 highly different women who are caught in the web of King Henry the VIII's court and all it's machinations. To those readers who love this historical era, Philippa G [...]

    7. These were fun books to read. Although I seem to like anything about British culture. I didn't know I would like historical fiction. I can't say that I had a favorite out of all of them. I even read them out of order and it was fine; they are really stories on their own, you don't need to read one to understand the others.

    8. I haven't read all of them, just The Other Boleyn Girl, The Virgin's Lover, and The Boleyn Inheritance. But this will be added to my wish list :)

    9. I read through and enjoyed all of these until I got to the last book It just dragged on forever with a highly repetitive plot.

    10. Please see my reviews for 'The Constant Princess', 'The Other Boleyn Girl', 'The Boleyn Inheritance', 'The Queen's Fool', 'The Virgin's Lover', and 'The Other Queen'.
