    1. How could I not have found Ruth Brown before this? After reading A Dark, dark tale, I fell in love with it, and hoped I'd find some more "dark" stories in the Ruth Brown collection. While this isn't dark in any way, it IS, however, a wonderful story with some unusual and completely unique aspects to it. The story is adorable, the illustrations are so detailed! My 3 yr old twins liked the pictures. My 5 yr old also loved the book. Just an overall fun book that's a great addition to any children's [...]

    2. This is a love letter to a cat -- a series of painterly illustrations about a day in the life of Flossie, who is a typical cat in every way. 3. Little Cherub and I both love Ruth Brown's detailed illustrations (a new discovery for me - I hadn't come across her books with my two older daughters). This book is little more than a series of cat pictures, but they are beautifully done and they hold Cherub's interest. The text is only one sentence per page, and the language is old for Cherub, but she still likes to fill in the end of the sentence for me.
