    1. Rolling Stones for the OCD fan . . . monumental may be too big a word, but for what it is, I can't imagine a better book. More than just a comprehensive summary of nearly every piece of equipment owned by Keef and company, it is also a snapshot into the Rolling Stones history with revealing insights. Recommended for gearheads and Rolling Stones fans who have gone around the bend.

    2. For rock and roll fans, especially those of us who are players and are, in my case, "guitar geeks", have something of a cult surrounding the writings of Babiuk. Granted, with only two books you'd think he'd just be starting to garner fans. His first book, however, made him an instant legend. "Beatles Gear" covered all the gear ever used by The Beatles, in the studio and on stage, from guitars to stomp-boxes to drums he covered it all. In fact, when he went to Ringo's house, Ringo took him to a r [...]

    3. A fine book if a bit anoraky. The same instruments are listed many times covering the different tours or recording sessions. Although I have an appreciation of the equipment sometimes the talk of how different amps and guitars were adjusted went a bit over my head but I appreciated that the info had to be there for those who are technically minded. The book put all the gear in context of when used and as such it also is a fine history of the band. The book has seemingly endless pictures of the ba [...]

    4. A companion to the earlier Beatles Gear. This is just as obsessively detailed and researched. I can't say these are fun to read but they are fascinating. One good feature is the authors ability to develop a history of the band around the instruments and a bit of a look into the personalities of the members. A joy for those in the very targeted group of readers.

    5. i liked this book z i am in love with the rolling stonesbut i wish the instruments were the ones that the stones ownedi kept getting pissed off, cuz the writer kept on saying , ah keith has a guitar just like this. i didn't buy the book to see guitars like they had.i could go to a music store and see them
