    1. 30/6 - I won this in a GR giveaway nearly two years ago. I am only now reading and reviewing it because I've been a bit scared of the content. Somehow, when I was entering the giveaway I managed to misread or misjudge the plot of the book and so when it arrived in the mail it was not what I had been expecting. Somehow I managed to miss the fact that it's a coming-of-age memoir by a devout Christian, not the sweet romance about the shy virgin falling in love for the first time that I thought it w [...]

    2. *I received a copy of this book through a Giveaway*Funny that I would win this book Being single isn't fun, especially while being surrounded with people who are in relationships and/or act like there's something wrong with you for not being in a relationship. I could relate a little to what the author was saying. The only thing is that I'm Atheist. As I've said before in another review, I like learning about different religions, but I just don't see myself as a religious person. It's a beautif [...]

    3. It was a gem of a book : ) As a mom of a 10 month old - I loved that it was short, sweet and to the point. I appreciated Katie’s willingness to be vulnerable and transparent about struggles that are usually swept under the rug. Things like "singleness" that are so hard and so close to a person’s heart are truly spiritual issues and Katie speaks of them with the knowledge of someone who has been there. I have been happily married for 8 years and I still took away something from each page.

    4. There were a few good things that I noted from the book, but overall it was ok. Maybe because I went into the book expecting something different. It was as if I was waiting for her to get to THAT point. But it never came.

    5. Poignant, thoughtful. Like the Psalmists, a great modern example for Christian women of how to set their hearts before God.
