    1. When I got asked to review this book I was so excited. The cover is gorgeous and the story line sounds so fresh and new. But as I was reading the book my feelings started to change much like the heroine Mary’s did. But before I get into that let me tell you about the book.Mary’s life is going the way she always wanted it to. She is engaged to the love of her life Joshua and she is an artist. But she learns that Joshua has inherited his father’s broken down mansion out in the middle of the [...]

    2. Mary is a mess a huge freaking mess She has what every girl dreams of. Shes a successful painter shes engaged (and rather quickly married ) to a successful architect who loves her, Joshua. Together they move into his families run down mansion. She SHOULD be happy but shes not. Haunted by her past and in my opinion deeply depressed. I swear so many times in the first half of the book I just wanted to slap the girl!As patient and loving as Joshua is Mary is well as my mother would say Mary is UGLY [...]

    3. Winter Sparrow is a dark, powerful novella about a newly married young couple, Mary and Joshua, starting out their lives together in an old, run-down mansion given to Joshua by his father. Mary is struggling to believe in the love they share together, but her doubts put more and more distance between the couple as she grows colder and turns inward, deeply depressed. Joshua struggles to hold on to Mary, to bring her back to him emotionally. When Mary reaches rock bottom, she escapes, is in an acci [...]

    4. I had a love/hate relationship with this book. What I loved about it was how it started off with a relationship in which the main character Mary has many doubts and seems confused about what she wants in life. The story then takes a sort of supernatural, but very interesting turn that intrigued me. This is a short novel, so I feel like there's a lot of unanswered questions that left me confused when I finished reading it, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I gave it 4 because there's a decen [...]

    5. I read Winter Sparrow from beginning to end. I have to say it started off really good had me interest but once I got into it I felt so lost, I really wasnt sure what was going on anymore. The book felt incomplete to me. I must say however, that Winter Sparrow was well written no grammar or editing errors that were noticeable. Estevan Vega has a lot of potential in this story. I loved the characters, I just wish things were explained a bit more so the reader could understand what is going on.

    6. Winter Sparrow by Estevan Vega is an awesome dark fantasy. It is very different from any of the books that I have read. The storyline is very interesting and had my attention from the very beginning and all the way to the end. Mary is a young woman who is a struggling artist with a passion for painting. In her youth, her family didn’t live anywhere long enough for her to call it home and the love that her father gave her was a father’s love. Mary ran away from that life and didn’t ever loo [...]

    7. Review to come as part of the upcoming blog tour! This is not your typical Fantasy/Romance. This isn't boy meets girl, girl falls in love with boy, boy falls in love with girl, and they lived happily ever after. This is about life and love. It isn't always pretty, it doesn't always make sense, but oh how we all long for it. This book is poetic and beautiful and haunting. Read this line!"He was the sunrise she missed so strongly, perhaps, and she was the cloud that, in time, might eclipse him."Or [...]

    8. This is the BEST book I have ever read, and I have read literally thousands. I met Estevan at the Brooklyn Fair last month. I will definitely be reading all of his books. He will be Koontz, King, Patterson, and the like. Read his work, you will not be sorry.

    9. Winter Sparrow it’s an amazing book, a dark and powerful novella about a married couple, Mary and Joshua. She is an artist, he is an architect, one perfect match, one may think. Mary isn't sure if this is the life she wants, if this marriage is for her, but Joshua keeps trying to convince her they are made for each other. After they got married, Joshua was given a mansion by his father and he decides it’s the perfect place to start they’re new home. He starts renovating it and put his hear [...]

    10. Once I started this book I could not put it down, i had to know what happen next. Mary gets married to her love name Joshua and they moved to his fathers house which needs work on. Mary loves to paint. Mary gets all these feelings inside of her that she doesn't know what to do. Mary and Joshua gets in a fight and don't talk to each other. Mary can't let go of her past and its still haunting her. Finally her and Joshua talks and she tells him she needs to go for a drive to think. She does and she [...]

    11. I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This book was a quick and easy read, until the end. I got very confused as to what the hell was going on. The ending felt rushed and not well explained. But on the bright side, most of the book leading up to the end was beautifully written and you could feel the characters emotions, they were lain out perfectly. This book is classified as romance, I was say not only is it a romance, but a dark romance with a hint of para [...]

    12. This book started out normal enough. It appeared on the surface to be a simple love story between Mary and Joshua. Mary and Joshua are living in a home which was left to Joshua. Mary is an interesting character, she is insecure, nervous, and haunted by her past. Joshua meanwhile loves her dearly. The characters are all well written. You get sucked into the story and want to keep reading to try to figure out where the story is going. I did have to re-read a few paragraphs here and there to confir [...]

    13. In the spirit of full disclosure I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The Bad:Descriptions are heavy handed, to where I found myself wanting to skim. I get that Mary has some deep issues, but I think they are focused on too much. She’s supposed to be getting married, right? Where’s the happiness? The metaphors confused me, drawing me out of the story each time. Several parts were so confusing they pulled me out of the story. The entire last half of the story had me in a storm o [...]

    14. Winter Sparrow is a dark paranormal romance that left me confused but I liked it. Mary & Joshua are starting out their lives as husband & wife. Before the wedding Mary is already questioning whether she's happy or not & the mansion Joshua's father gave to them, isn't helping at all to ease her fear. That is until she sees the garden. It's like a work of art & with Mary being an artist, she can appreciate it's beauty. After a while of being married & growing even more depresse [...]

    15. Everyone kept telling me how good this book was and I was anxious to find out for myself. I was not disappointed. Mary and Joshua are in love and engaged to be married. Right away we are thrown into the story with Mary having doubts about everything. She goes through the motions, marrying Joshua and moving into the house he has inherited. Without giving spoilers, this story is a true page turner even though it is a bit on the depressing side at time. The author did a wonderful job creating his c [...]

    16. I've read quite a few of Vegas books and this one is at the top. I loved it. I'm not really the kind of guy who sits down and reads a book from start to finish. I usually read it in chunks when I have time. I don't usually think about the story while I'm not reading. This one was different, though. My eyes were glued, reading past when I needed to put it down and go to bed. And when I wasn't reading, I couldn't help but think about it. Read it in 2 sittings. Throughout the whole book I kept find [...]

    17. My ThoughtsThis book was really good, I enjoyed the whole way through. It kept me at suspense to what would happen next. I enjoyed the way he wrote the chapters, the way he described the hurt they felt. It was so beautiful, but so dark. There was times I wanted to cry, but that is a fantastic writing. As I would read this I would zone, and it made me feel like I was apart of this. I can't wait to see what else he has stored in his other books.

    18. Mary has always dreamed of having wings. After marrying Joshua she sinks into a depression and gets her wish. Buy it comes at a high cost. Lucas finds her broken and battered and grants her wish. But will her love for Joshua free her? This is a unique story, but I wish Lucas was explained a bit better. You are left going "what in the world". Overall it was a great read.

    19. This story was something I have never read before. I loved the fantasy! I loved the description and all the detail Estevan Vega puts into his books! It keeps the books interesting and me wanting MORE!! This read was one I did not regret reading. It was passionate and moving. As we all know I'm no robot so we know I was tearing up and kept every page turning!

    20. This novel completely surprised me! For some reason I expected a simple love story, which at first it seems to be, but then the plot turns and twists into something dark and unexpected. It's very atmospheric and haunting, with beautiful writing.

    21. I'm afraid I did not enjoy this book. Most of the time I was totally confused and I didn't understand what the author was trying to convey. The whole story felt disjointed and having got to the end the only thing that came across was the power of love.

    22. It's not that this is a bad book; it's just really, really not my thing. It's very over the top arty in its language choices, and the ingenue is, kind of literally, a manic pixie dream girl.
