    1. **3.5 stars**I'm SO conflicted on this story! Everything from the audio narration to the plot is just pulling me in two different directions! I settled on 3.5 stars, but there were parts that I loved and parts that I didn't care for. I'll start with the narration, which tends to make or break audiobooks for me. I should have disliked this narrator (Michael Pauley). First of all, he is an American dude reading for characters who are clearly British, which is WEIRD! I was really puzzled by the nar [...]

    2. Ahhhhh…this book was sweet.Nothing Serious is exactly that…it is an easy story of two men meeting under fortuitous circumstances and timing and falling in love. The story won’t shake you to your core. It’s not one of those shout-it-from-the-rooftops-I-love-it-so reads. What it is, quite simply, is M/M 101…done well. Friends-with-benefits to lovers, gay sex virgin, a glossary of all the gay sex basics (you top then I’ll top, 69, rimming, finger f’ing, frotting, shower time…but none [...]

    3. 3.5 Stars! Perfectly sweet.Perfectly sexy. This was a quick readI'd really call it more of a novella. But it was a really sweet and sexy story. Mark has just come out to his long-time girlfriend. He's been in the closet pretty much his whole life. He's pretty much a virgin when it comes to being gay. Mark is moving out of his shared house in to a new apartment of his own when he meets Jamie. Jamie is helping out with his brother's moving company. A spilled box reveals some gay porn, magazines and [...]

    4. 4.5 starsThis was easy, light, and sexy, with zero angst and no convoluted plot besides the two MCs getting to know one another. Mark meets Jamie when Mark moves out of the house he shares with his long-time girlfriend to his own flat. Mark's gay, so there's no use pretending he can make it work with Rachel. Mark comes to this realization before the book starts, and he is out and not conflicted over it, just feels bad that he's hurting Rachel. Jamie is one of the moving guys, and Mark is immedia [...]

    5. 3.5*Aptly chosen title. This is sweet and easy, light and sexy andnothing serious.Mark has finally at almost 30 decided to come out, splitting from his girlfriend of 9 years ( thankfully, she's a nice ex, no evil females in this book) and while moving out finds Jamie.Jamie not only helps Mark move out, but move on and what starts out as friends with benefits turns into more. There is no conflict, no angst, no stress. Just two nice guys, falling into bed and then falling into love.Perfect light 's [...]

    6. Really sweet 4 starsAnother "Nothing" book Perfectly sweet and Perfectly sexy. This was a quick read and really sweet and sexy story. So what starts out as nothing serious turns in to more. "And yes, I kind of have a date. But it’s nothing serious."Both Mark and Jamie start to develop real feelings for each other. But both are afraid to admit it to each other for fear that the other doesn't feel the same way. There's plenty of steam, no drama and no angst. A quick and entertaining read. I adore [...]

    7. This may come as a surprise but I am an emotional reader. Shh…don’t let that get out, but I am. I pick books based on emotions I am feeling and then feed off the emotions from the book and then start all over again. I am a self-proclaimed angst whore even though I know what those type of books do to me. Why am I saying all of this? Because after books like that, you need a book to remind you again that life isn’t always so heavy. That sometimes there are stories that open up, let you in an [...]

    8. First off if you've just had a really heavy read with lots of angst and major conflict, then this is a perfect one to slip in as an endearing , wind down, easy read. Cute romance with a friends with benefits theme that won't awe or surprise you at all, but will leave you feeling warm and sated! The chemistry between newly outed Mark and the younger but more experienced Jamie is great and the love scenes are hot but still romantic and sweet. Can't really say a lot more because as the title says t [...]

    9. ***2 Stars***Unfortunately, this didn't really work for me. Mark and Jamie didn't have much chemistry and the sex felt robotic and formulaic. The "experiment your gayness on me" plot device didn't succeed in coming across as fun and flirty, but instead it felt mechanical and boring. I found myself easily distracted while reading, and we all know that's never a good thing.

    10. The general consensus for this story before I picked it up were "sweet', "light", and well, "nothing serious". Which was exactly the reason why I decided to read it, since I was needing something like that. I think other reviewers have summed up everything perfectly. It was a light and easy read -- no heavy drama. It was pure straight-forward attraction at first sight (the moment Mark laid eyes on this handsome mover) to becoming friends (with benefits) to romance. I found both men likeable -- M [...]

    11. 3.5This was just a sweet story about two men meeting and falling for each other. Light on the angst but a lovely slow moving romance. Mark just ended a long term relationship with a woman and is moving to a new town he meets Jamie who works part-time for the moving company. They start seeing each other and the romance progresses to something more than just friends with benefits. I liked the men and the romance here but I'd recommend this one if you're looking for something with little to no conf [...]

    12. I liked this story, mainly because both the main characters were both so nice! The story follows Mark, who finally comes out after many years in a long term relationship, as he is initiated into the joys of gay sex by Jamie, whom he meets when Jamie is the removalist helping him move into his own flat. The reasons for Mark ending up in a relationship with a woman for so long "I think I just wanted to be what everyone expected me to be" were relatively simple and his break up with his wife not ove [...]

    13. I did not dislike this. But as a previous reviewer has already said, the book was light, sweet and nothing serious. Easy to read- almost too easy as I got a bit bored and flipped through the pages quickly. No conflict, drama or other plot twists to keep me more engaged and raise the star rating.

    14. The title sums this book up perfectly. Light and fluffy, the story of Mark and Jamie was a pleasure to read and I'm looking forward to meeting the author at the GRL meet in Bristol. 3.5 stars from me and I'll be looking up some of Jay's other stories.

    15. With so many books full of angst and heartache, sometimes it’s nice to throw one in that is light, fluffy and sugary sweet. Nothing Serious is just what I needed!Mark is ending his long-term relationship with Rachel and moving out now that he’s finally admitted to himself that he’s gay. When he meets Jamie, one of the moving guys, he is immediately smitten. When Jamie finds out Mark is “newly” gay, he offers to show him the ropes, fool around and let him experiment a bit. Their “frie [...]

    16. Adorable. This is sweet but not cloying, easy but not simplistic, sexy but not PWP. And it's exactly what I needed to read today. (Bonus points for the Britishness of it all.)

    17. This was such a wonderful short story. It's sweet, light and fun. But I also think it sends out a really important message. It doesn't matter how old you are or the kinds of decisions you have made already in your life, you can be whoever you want to be. You can love whoever you want to love, no matter what sex they are. This was a beautiful love story about Mark who realises, before it's too late, that he cannot marry the woman he has been with for the last nine years.Mark is such a brave guy. [...]

    18. Lovely, sweet, and sigh-worthy.Mark might be slow coming out of the blocks, but boy does he not only catch up quick, but has amazing luck. After wasting time he has no intention of playing games, but sometimes complete honesty isn't easy. Mark's enthusiasm and guarded naiveté are adorable and I really liked that he went all in after his epiphany. His thoughts and assumptions slid around and slotted into completely different places, like one of those sliding block puzzles he’d loved as a kid.Hi [...]

    20. This was a very sweet, hot and a bit dirty read. No angst, no drama, just really freaking cute and cuddly. A perfect Sunday morning read.

    21. 3.5 StarsAnother classic Northcote read. This was just the light, sexy and fun story I needed to cleanse the book palate.

    22. 4.5 stars for the audio version of this book.I'm an AMy Lane fan boy. I love angsty reads, but sometimes I really enjoy a book that is free of too much angst and just makes me happy. This book isn't just sugar&fluff overdose. I guess I'm lucky - I'm a gay man, who never experienced the kind of dramatic and vilent hatred that is included in many books of this genre. I think it is important to show how absolutely tragic and wrong such behavior is and if written-well, those books can break my h [...]

    23. Disclaimer: I am Jay's friend and pre-reader, so my review may be less than impartial. But, this is the third time I've read this story, and I still love it.The fact that it's set in England is a big plus for me, and Jay does a beautiful job of describing where they live and all the surrounding areas. I usually tend towards fantasy and paranormal, but I do love a coming out story, especially when it's as sweet, and funny, and hot as this one. After their initial, rather embarrassing meeting, Jam [...]

    24. I really, really enjoyed this book! This was an all around feel good story that had a wholelotta smexing going on.Jamie and Mark fell for one another hard but neither one of them wanted to tell the other In fear of bursting their perfect bubble and jeopardizing their friends with benefits status!!!!I loved the flow of the story and how really there wasn't any of that dragging misunderstanding drama. When their feelings were finally put out there they got the HEA they deserved

    26. A perfect read for when you want a quick, no angst, straight forward, sexy read about two men falling in love. Mark has finally come out and Jamie is ready to teach him anything he wants to know. When the agreed upon experimenting slowly morphs in something more, doubts begin to creep in as each man wonders if the other will want to stick around. A nice story all around that will bring smile to your face

    27. 3.5 starsThis was a nice, angst free story. Great read when you don't want anything heavy and are just looking for a light read.
