1 thought on “Wild Ones, Vol. 2”

    1. 3.5 stars - This review first appeared on A Weebish Book BlogIn volume two of the WILD ONES series, Sachie and the clan head to the beach to visit her grandfather’s friend and enjoy some fun in the sun. The group soon encounters trouble when Sachie meets Azumi Inui, who quickly becomes enamored with her, sparking Rakuto’s jealousy and competitive drive.I once again enjoyed the trip back into Sachie’s over-the-top and humorously ridiculous life. In this sequel to WILD ONES, vol. 2 Sachie co [...]

    2. After enjoying and laughs with the first volume I was excited to read this one, the second volume.Sachie Wakamura is taken in my her grandfather when her mom dies. Only he happens to be a part of a gang! Now she's treated like a princess, surrounded by some scary (but sweet) men and even has her own bodyguard! But Rakuto (the bodyguard) drives Sachie crazy! He is the most popular guy at her new school, but she's the only one who knows he's a part of her grandfather's gang. Not only does he watch [...]

    3. Sachie just learned her grandfather isn't dead like her recently deceased mother always told her it's because he's the head of a yakuza gang! She isn't sure about her new family even though they treat her as the honored princess of their boss and to make matter more complicated Rakuto is her bodyguard, and the most popular boy at their school! Can she adjust to her new family and find a way to make her new love work? This volume starts out slow as we have classic shojo manga moments. It gets a lo [...]

    4. Lol. It seems that Sachi is starting to get used to the fact that her grandfather is part of the mob and possibly has a bit of a spotty past.I felt bad for that one idiot who's girlfriend is the worst kind of girl. The introduction of the all important love triangle. Wouldn't be a shoujo manga if there was no love triangle. :/I love how Sachi and Igarashi are starting to show there feelings for one another.

    5. Still enjoying. Still confusing with how quickly things come and go. And as much as Sachie talks about how the hero's eyes go from cold to warm it's super hard to notice yourself, considering that doesn't come through in the pictures. He looks rather devilish whether he's lying or not

    6. Enjoyed this one more than the first. Sachie isn't the damsel in distress the whole book, and I really think I'm going to love the addition of Azuma. This book also amped up the comedy aspects. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

    7. Imagine having your own personal swoon-worthy bodyguard at your beck and call who pops up at just the right moments to hold your hand, help you with your homework, save your lifeoh and he's yakuza, just like your Grandpa, and everyone else in your household for that matter. That's Sachie Wakamura's life, and it's still taking some getting used to. Sachie likes to jump in and stop the bad guys too, so it comes in sort of handy that she has a warm-hearted yakuza family to back her up when she want [...]

    8. Originally read: 2011Re-read: Sept 2016Sachie seems a bit more clueless in this volume. Lots of other cliche moments in here, such as slipping off a ledge in the wilderness, love triangles, and more. When I first read it I loved it, but this time around I found it less original. Or are other mangas less original? Either way, it effected my enjoyment a bit. Still cute though. I like Azuza so far. I look forward to getting to know him more. And the Festival Cafe in this is creative and different. [...]

    9. Well, volume 2 was a little bit less like Fruits Basket, but the similarities are still in your face. We're introduced to Azuma, who adds the love triangle factor of FB. This series came out around the same time so I know it was probably a popular genre and topic but really However, I LOVE when Sachie gets super bad ass. She reminds me of Nana from Othello, who I adore! So I like that.Despite it being a rip off of Fruits Basket, I enjoy it when I read it. But, much like Trinity Blood, it bums me [...]

    10. Not enough Azuma in this volume! Rakuto is stalked by the director of the film club and they must protect their family secret.I love Rakuto but I'm craving the love triangle trope so I was a little disappointed that Azuma was out of town for most of this volume and there didn't seem to be much competition.

    11. I forgot how much I liked this series. This is about Sachie who loses her mother and goes to live with her grandfather who is the head of the Yakuza. The way the guys follow her around so she doesn't get hurt makes me laugh. I like her and Rakuto together. He is popular in school and her age but he is also part of the gang and her protecter.

    12. WHY WON'T THEY KISS ALREADY!??!?! It's obvious he likes her, he even got jealous when Azuma tried to ask her to the dance, so why the crap won't he ask her out? I liked the part where she went all Yakuza boss on the people that were spreading rumors, she looked pretty kick ass. It was kind of frustrating how they get so close but never quite get their feelings across.

    13. Series Review: Wild Ones is a funny and romantic manga that I really enjoyed beginning to end. The plot was great as well as the characters. I never got bored and the plot twists were often surprising. The ending was perfect for the series and well timed. If you are looking for some action along with normal high school drama this is the manga for you!

    14. Sweet and funny. Some parts did hint at the dark side of the yakuza elements in the story. One main issue witb the art is the hands in non close ups- they look way too big. Rakuto is funny. His jellousy is goanna get him in trouble though

    15. The boy, Rakuto, in the book is such a creeper! It's almost hilarious to see when he knows when Sachie's in trouble, because he always pops up near her and is her "shining knight." It kinda irks me that she is always saved by him, and doesn't save herself.

    16. Volume 2 is packed with hilarious and cute chapters. Sachie was so cute making those faces and her yakuza family is so funny I can’t help but keep on chuckling.

    17. Even better than the first! Beautiful artwork (I love the eyes especially!)! A fun manga that makes me smile and chuckle.

    18. I'm liking the series so far and its only 2 volumes in. Another good volume. The covers are good.
