    1. Beautiful and complex art accompany the easy text. I am inclined to buy to book so I can practice recognizing the animals and plants drawn in the book.

    2. I thought it was a really good childrens book that help to bring forest animals to life. It had you think of animals as a community that was aware of each other. I will definately put this book into my classroom bookshelf so that more young children can remember how to expand their imagination beyond things they see on the television.     5. This book claims to be a folktale, but it isn't. The author clearly states at the end of the book that she composed the story when she couldn't sleep one night while camping. That makes it a story, not a folktale.
