At the end of the book, I felt like I had attended a very good writing workshop and came away with the book as a polished overview from the instructor. At 145 pages of eye-friendly large type, the book is a satisfying meal, small enough to efficiently digest.     2. Did you know dialogue matters even for poetry? I didn't, and I am so glad I do now! This small book packs a punch. It easily and accessibly convinced me of just how and why good dialogue matters, why many pieces could use more of it, and when not to use it.     5. I won this as a Good reads winner, and really, really liked this book. It had some great reminders in there for those of us who choose to either dabble in writing, or are serious writers looking to publish. This book gives all sorts of examples for different types of writing. Writers in nearly all fields are sure to come away with a more refined approach to dialogue after having read this encouraging and enlightening book. A concise lesson plan to surely be used again, Dialogue for Writers will prove it's worth through your work.

    7. Enjoyed reading. Lots of information and easy to follow. I especially enjoyed the section on jump starting the story with dialogue. Lots of ideas that should be very useful.
