    1 thought on “Love Released”

    1. It stops in the middle of the story leaving two main mysteries unsolved - made me angry. This is half the length of a regular novel. I don’t mind a series as long as each book has a completion - like Harry Potter. This book does not. It feels more like a TV soap opera - tune in tomorrow for more.I enjoyed the first part. It kept my interest. But not the last half. Events and dialogue were predictable, nothing special or different. Word gets out that Cora is an ex-con. Some people treat her bad, [...]

    2. It is a good read BUT the set up of "books" is just a ploy for the reader to spend a lot of money. I got "book 1" as a promo free download, mid story that "book" ends and each subsequent "book" is $3.99. If I had gotten a full book as the free download and it was the quality of what I read I would gladly buy other books by the author, and frequently do. But because the first "book" did not qualify to me as a book I won't pay a bunch of money to read a serial.

    3. I liked this book. The story of a woman doctor who is sent to prison and then released and totally abandoned by her family except her Aunt Rose. I wasn't paying attention when I put this book on my Kindle to see that it is a series. I hope the second book will show up someday on the free books. I would like to continue the story.

    4. 'I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review'Cora was a respected and successful doctor until she shot her sisters husband. She had her reasons and she would do it again, however she may not have had such harsh sentencing if her father had not seen to it that she got punished to the fullest. After years in prison she is out on probation with no where to go and no money. Then she finds out that her aunt left her, her house when she passed so she g [...]

    5. I was ready to give the book 3 (even 4) stars because I very much enjoyed the story, the setting, and the characters. But that that was before it abruptly ended and I learned - from other reviews - that the story isn't completed until book 8. That is something that should have been made crystal clear from the very beginning. I would have gladly invested the money and time had I been forewarned, but not now. I don't like to be cheated.

    6. I wanted a low key story to read that was realistic but suspenseful, and that is what I got from this story. It wasn't corny in any way but a simple story to read. Shady characters, lovable characters, a bit of mystery thrown in. It's like a small town, "everyone knows each other" kind of environment. I loved it!! Great for just a simple read without all the emotional head trauma. It does leave you hanging though as there are two mysteries not solved in this particular episode. This story kind o [...]

    7. This was a great start to a series. I downloaded this as a free book on my Kobo and just finished the first installment. Wow! I really enjoyed it it was a quiet and unassuming read but very heartwarming. I’ve read a few reviews and I have seen some comments about people being ticked off that they have to pay for the next installment to read. I don’t think that’s a terrible thing, authors have to make a living after all this is their craft they work at it just like we work at our own crafts [...]

    8. Quick, but enjoyable read. Some problems with word usage and grammer, which almost put me off right at the beginning, but the characters and story are engaging. I do feel that the books are kept short in order to have a longer series that involves more purchases. I read these 208 pages in an evening.

    9. Very enjoyable read!I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series. I loved the characters but was a little disappointed by the sudden ending - such a cliff-hanger !!!

    10. The characters seem to be mostly good or mostly bad. It's a depressing setup, and just when things start looking up, it ended. I was not expecting it to end so abruptly, before the story was finished. Kind of aggravating.

    11. What a waste of time! I was going to give this book 3 stars until I got to the ending. Be warned!!! It ends right in the middle of the book. I wouldn't even consider it a cliff hanger. It's like, one minute they are at a hardware store getting ready to buy stuff to fix up the house, and then it just ends. Obviously the author wants you to buy the next books in the series but this book needed to be a lot better if the author expected me to keep going. And I would have been fine having read just t [...]

    12. This is the first book in a very long serial (at least 8 books) where a number of women of courage are explored as part of a continuing storyline. It is set in 1950s small town USA – where redneck attitudes prevail and there is a an amount of resentment and anger from men who have come back from the war to find the economy tanking and no jobs for them. Our heroine in book 1 was a surgeon who was sent to prison – as orchestrated by her father – for what was apparently attempted murder. But sh [...]

    13. This is an introduction to the 'Women of Courage' series and whilst it may only be a short novella, the author has managed to construct an interesting story line; one that has managed to capture my interest so much, I have already purchased the second book of . The story is set in 1947 and we as the readers, are introduced to Cora Williams as she is being released from jail after serving her time. The confident surgeon who entered the jail five years earlier has been beaten down and only a shell [...]

    14. Cora Williams had a great job and money and then it is all taken away when she is put in jail for 5 years for attempted murder. After the 5 long years, and the horrible things she endured during her incarceration, she is finally out. Upon being released, she finds out that she has NOTHING left. No money, no way to get her license back to be a doctor, and she has just found out that she now has custody of her nephew Jack. Her aunt left her a house in her will so now she has a little house for the [...]

    15. LOVE RELEASED – WOMEN OF COURAGE is an amazing new series by author Geri Foster. This book is a bit different from her action packed Falcon Securities books but I believe it will grab you and not let you go. Cora Williams, was a doctor, born to a wealthy family but had spent the last 5 years in prison. Once released she finds they have turned their back on her completely and her only option is to go to a deceased aunt’s home she inherited and begin to rebuild her life. A few complications ar [...]

    16. To my surprise, I really enjoyed this episode of 'Love Released' since I don't normally get into this era of historical romance. Yet despite being set in the early years after WWII, the story has a plot that would fit into any era or time. Some people are just ignorant hypocrites and cruel no matter the time or location; they just can't seem to help themselves. The characters are well developed, the ambiance of the time clear, and the need for love strong. If there was anyway to improve this sto [...]

    17. Good suspenseFrom the start, Geri Foster peaked my interest. Cora Williams has been released from prison after serving time for attempted murder. The author never tells us the details, but gives us glimpses of some kind of conspiracy. I have to say I was getting nervous toward the end, when she ended the story without a conclusion. Never fearrt two is here, and the author gives us the first page to tempt u.s I'm going to have to read it now. But it's a story of encouragement, set in the 1940's w [...]

    18. First time reading anything by this Author and I love the book, there are Episodes of the book not books as thought she chopped her book up to have us buy them separately which ends up making an expensive book. The ending left you ready for the next. Every "section" cost $3.99 each and there are 5 total. I did get the first one free from which is why I read her in the first placeI see how they hook u :P give you a freebie so you HAVE to have the next one to see what happensWell playede book is [...]

    19. This book is about a girl that came from wealth. She is released from prison with no one in her family wanted her but is left with her sisters son to take care of. Her only hope is to live in a town where her Aunt left her a house. She struggles to find a job. It is a lovely story. I just wished I look further in to the reviews as I didn't know that the story continues to another booked. So I was aggravated that I didn't find out the whole story about the reason she went to prison unless I read [...]

    20. I feel cheatedI wish I would have read reviews before downloading this book. The characters are likable but the story is kind of slow. I thought this was a series but after reading book one and reading reviews of book two I see that this is just one book divided into multiple "episodes". I won't be reading any more by this author just because of the way she published her first book.

    21. The story was moving along and then it left you totally hanging. This is not a stand alone book I didn't know that until I got to the end of this book. Then I went to research and discovered there are 7 books to the series. Reading the description of the other 6 books, I find that you have to read them all to find out how the relationship between the two main characters will develop. I was disapointed.

    22. The story was moving along and then it left you totally hanging. This is not a stand alone book I didn't know that until I got to the end of this book. Then I went to research and discovered there are 5 books to the series. Reading the description of the other 4 books, I find that you have to read them all to find out how the relationship between the two main characters will develop. I was disapointed.

    23. Not bad, but no conclusionI really prefer happy endings, and become frustrated with books that leave you hanging. The book was well written, and I like the relationships the characters are developing. However this book was short enough that I felt the author could have extended it a bit and finished the story. But single books is not what makes the $$.

    24. Disappointed Despite some historical inconsistencies, it's a great story, however the way this story has been broken up, without the ability to stand alone, is very frustrating. I will not buy another book in this series or from this author because of the way the book was divided and marketed. It's a cheap ploy to get my money.

    25. I have no complaints for the story itself, it was a great story very compelling and intriguing. I was so absorbed I read it in one sitting (though it was a short book and that was easily done) . My only complaint is that the author split ONE book into many to make money. Word to the wise, by the end of it you end up paying around 15-16 dollars on Kindle to read this one story -_-

    26. I liked this book, the reason I am giving it a 3 stars rating is because of the authors scheme to sell more books. I get that authors need an income but I would have never bothered to download the book had I known that in order to get the whole story you have to buy 4 more downloads at $3.99It was a great story about a woman getting her life together after prison.

    27. New beginningsThis story brings you into the lives of small-town America right after World War 2. Cora Williams is starting over after being in prison for 5 years with her nephew Jack. The sheriff Virgil is not sure why but he wants to take care of Cora. Small minds cause problems but together they work through them.

    28. Riveting! Givers new meaning to being traumatized, (PTSD-based on the her family members claim of being a murderer instead of self defense possibility. Her trust factor shattered by those she ought to trust. Was getting the next book, but hit a snafu. Got a sample of itntent, but not happy about it.

    29. Enjoyed this story. I'm not a fan of serials and this appears to be the start of on. But the characters and general plot were good ones, so I can put that aside for now. The problem becomes, I want more of the story. So I'll start looking.
