    1. I know that no one reads these books for realism, but 5 books a 5 murder investigations that Missy is in the middle of is a bit much. Chas also manages to also perform an investigation in Mexico, far outside of his jurisdictions. Though there was no real way to follow the mystery and figure it out in this book, it was a fun read. I kinda wish that there was more description when it came to the scenery in Mexico, but overall it was fun.The cupcakes described in this book sounded absolutely scrump [...]

    2. I enjoyed the first one of this series I read, but this one did not hold up. I know it's a short story, so the length wasn't an issue. The fact the story was disjointed and had plot threads that went nowhere bothered me a good deal. Also, I have no problem with the fictional Louisiana place, but geez! Louisiana has PARISHES, not COUNTIES! This is a well-known fact, it's one of the things you leant in government classes -- Nebraska has a unicameral legislature and Louisiana is based on Napoleonic [...]

    3. Getting better. This series of brief murder mysteries solved by a "cupcake lady" and her detective boyfriend started out a little slowly and the recurring theme of a damsel in distress always being rescued by the handsome detective is a little overdone, but the stories and syntax are gradually improving. This seems to be a new author and I hope she continues to try and improve her storylines.

    4. This is the latest installment in the Frosted Love Cozy Mystery series, and it's really good! In this one, Missy and Chas take a vacation to Cozumel, Mexico where they become involved in a murder investigation and have to try to solve their way out of it before they are imprisoned for the crime! Really a good little mystery, and fast paced as well, so a quick read that always leaves me anxiously awaiting the next in the series! Try these, you'll be hooked too!

    5. Love these booksThese stories just get better and better. I absolutely love that I can't sit down and read, get a full murder mystery with just enough suspense to keep you flipping pages and not have to wait for days to find out what happens. I just really need the whole collection of recipes for all the yummy goodness mentioned.

    6. These novellas are short and sweet. We don't have too many suspects, but main character Missy tends to end up in peril every story. She is always being saved by hunky detective Chas. The descriptions of the cupcakes make my mouth drool and want to bake some sweets. I hope we see more of Ben in future installments.

    7. This is the first time I've read this author. The story was good but a little simple. It moved very quickly like the author was in a hurry to get it over with. There were typos etc. but not so much that it ruined the story. All in all, I enjoyed it for what it was. A light cozy mystery, a quick read.

    8. Interesting short storyI enjoyed this book because it was lightweight and interesting, although I would have liked it better if the romance was explored a bit more. It was kind of left on the back burner. Short but worth it if you're looking for a nice light read. Wish there were a few recipes included just for fun.

    9. I'm devouring this little cozy mystery series as fast as the customers are eating cupcakes at Missy's shop! Missy gets involved in murder more than most, but luckily she has the handsome detective Beckett to assist - and, on occasion, rescue her! Fun, quick, easy, entertaining reads - very enjoyable. Love the yummy cupcake ideas too!

    10. No vacation for me.Exciting mystery. Liked the location and having been to Mexico understand the problems. I think Chaz and Missy should get engaged. Love all the characters. And I did not get the murderer in this one. Great book

    11. FantasticWell, I read all five. I can only say one thing about this series and this writer.FANTASTIC. The stories are just awesome,, kept me guessing through each one. Hated to finish number five. The writer is really terrific also.

    12. Missy traveled with Detective Beckett to a conference in Mexico and manages to find herself once again a person of interest in a recent murderI am seeing the series evolve and enjoying each book better than the last. I enjoy the quick read and fun locations. I love this series!

    13. This one completely surprised me when the killer was revealed. I totally thought it was someone else. I am enjoying how the me characters are developing. Can't wait to read book 6.

    14. Nothing has really changed. At least the next one sounds like it'll be really interesting though if it picks up where this one left off at.

    15. Why bother?Such silly nonsense in 2016. You can be light and fun, but this is childish. Seems like the last few chapters were add ons to make the book longer. No other reason

    16. Really short read, left me wanting more! It was delightful and I finished it with an overwhelming craving for cupcakes.
