    1. Interesting sensibility and style in this novel. This will not be widely reading among teens to younger, but it makes me want to explore his other books.

    3. "In Belgium in the summer of 1939, with his brother serving in the military, ten-year-old Bing asks his older neighbor, Dani, to repay a debt by teaching him to play soccer, but Dani refuses and sets Bing and his friend Lenny on a course for revenge." -from catalog description - First off, let me be honest and say that I only read this because I needed to for a book review. I probably would not have picked it up or finished it otherwise. I didn't really care for the story or the characters. I'm [...]

    5. A Flemish import about revenge, sexual awakening, and other stuff in 1939 Belgium. Hard to imagine this having more than a quite limited audience.
