    1. I finished it and that is several hours of my life that I am never going to get back. I should have gone with my gut and given up before the 50% mark. Because if there’s ever a book to go on my truly Goddamn awful shelf, it’s this one. Why? Where do I start?Firstly, the author - and unfortunately his characters take his lead - is more obsessed by sex than a pubescent teenage boy. It’s a constant grind of characters who seem to have no intelligent thoughts in their head over than who they c [...]

    2. The makings of a half- (or maybe third-) way decent story that is almost entirely derailed by the clumsiest of romance and sex storylines. It's so painfully bad it must surely have been written by a pubescent teenager.

    3. Well I read the whole thing and it was a long road Unfortunately I can't say that I enjoyed it - I kept thinking more would be explained. Enough happened to keep me hoping for more, but I feel like my hopes were never fulfilled. There was a lot of esoteric crap bandied about and mysterious overbeings that had conversations with each other that made no sense nor added anything to the story. The other thing that bothered me was the immaturity of most of the main characters. Seriously, a guy somewhe [...]

    4. Well, I finished it. It had an interesting concept, but muddled writing, excessively pointless gratuitous sex, and poor flow pretty much ruined it. Giving 3 stars cause I enjoyed the core plot of starship tech, but would not recommend.
