    1. As I have mentioned in other reviews, I tend to shy away from travel guides for various reasons. Most of the material is available in a more up to date fashion online, it is better to travel your own way and not follow a certain prescribed route, and so on.One place where I will make an exception for this is Cambodia. Somehow there is just no solid information about Cambodia available, with the exception of Phnom Penh, Siam Reap, and perhaps Sihanoukville. This is where Matt Jacobson comes in. J [...]

    2. Better to get the Lonely Planet Guide. This had some good info in terms of more cultural experiences than the Lonely Planet, but overall the Lonely Planet is a more practical and easier to use, up to date guide.
