    1. This book is one that teaches the valuable lesson of treating others like you want to be treated. Brother Bear kept teasing and then he ends up getting teased. It shows that bullying never pays off and that it just isn't a nice thing to do. This book targets first and second graders and offers a clear message that the children will understand.

    2. Mom says, "Kids love the Berenstain Bears, and it's nice that there's a message delivered with each story. But man are they long. And what's up with Ma and her nightcap?"All I know is that we were reading this one because I tease my brother too much. Sigh.

    3. In this issue of the Berenstain Bears, Brother learns a valuable lesson about teasing. At the beginning of the book, brother begins teasing his sister because he found it funny until the tables were turned. Another bear at school began teasing brother because he was the principal's favorite. After being teased, brother apologizes to his sister. This book is really good for young children, especially those with siblings! I should have read this book when I was a kid because I teased my sister a lo [...]

    4. Children can be cruel, children can also be unbelievably kind. It depends upon numerable events, experiences and their character. It should not be done, everyone tries to discourage it, but it still happens. I enjoyed reading this with my daughter, she is a good girl, but can be boastful and high minded of herself when others falter. I will teach her to the best of my ability to be the best person she can be; I am hopeful as she is a smart little girl.

    5. After what is assuredly years of mercilessly hazing Sister, Brother is teased (with rhyming insults!) by Too Tall and Co. when he's given a special messenger job at school. When a farmhand (named Chubb) moves to the school, Too Tall's attention switches to him, but Brother concocts a scheme that simultaneously gets some healthy revenge on Too Tall while making Chubb a star.

    6. This book is about Brother Bear who teases his little sister and thinks it is fun, but the sister does not like it at all. At school, Brother Bear gets to see how his little sister feels because he gets picked on for being the principal's messenger. He gets so mad about being teased that he tries to fake being sick so he doesn't have to go to school. Although teasing is wrong, he finally understood why he shouldn't tease his little sister.I would recommend this book for beginning readers, around [...]

    7. Brother bear thinks it is fun to tease his little sister. Sister did not like it all but soon enough Brother was going to get a taste of his own medicine. When Brother bear got a new job at school all the other boy bears at school were teasing him and he did not like it all. The bears didn't stop until a new bear came to their school and he looked a little funny to them. Brother bear knew how bad it felt when someone was making fun of him so he decided to help the new bear and stuck up for him. [...]

    8. This book talks about teasing which has historically been a prevelant problem within schools and households. This book should be read before your child begins to develop poor, bully like tendancies and could be a preventative aide. Additionally if you child is already being bullied or is a bully you can use this book to bring them back to reality before having a discussion with them. Teasing can lead to suicide so it should be taken extremely seriously. If you care about your classroom you need [...]

    9. This one handles the topic of bullying better than The Berenstain Bears and the Bully. I love that Brother defends Milton instead of standing by and just being thankful that it's not him being teased. That's what I want my kids to see--that you can take a stand against bullies. And I love that they found a way for Milton to showcase his talents and get his revenge without training for a fistfight, the way they do with Sister Bear in The Bully. I wasn't a fan of that one.

    10. Too Much Teasing is a great book as all Berenstain Bear books are. It starts out with sister who is getting teased by brother and she is fed up with it. At school brother starts to get teased by a bully. That's when he realizes how much it hurt Sister's feelings when he makes fun of her. This book is great to read with siblings or in a classroom setting where classmates or siblings are not getting along. This can truly show them the importance of getting along.

    11. Brother Bear teases! But then when the principal want to see him to be his special messenger, everyone teases him. He doesn't like it, but his friends say, "Just ignore them." Then a new little bear comes. Everybody teases him because he's a farmer, but he loves to box, so the gym teacher says, "Let's see what you can do against him." to the teasers. It was a pretty good bookRENSTAIN

    12. Brother Bear thinks that it is great fun to tease Sister Bear even though she doesn't like it very much. But Brother gets a taste of his own medicine when he is given the job of special messenger and all the cubs in his class think he is the new teacher's pet. So how will Brother react when he sees a new kid being teased because he isn't very sporty?

    13. This is a good book that emphasizes not only how to deal with teasing as a fact of life, but why teasing is mean. It's probably best to read this to young school age children, to help prepare them for teasing they might experience at school.

    14. This book brought many enlightening flashback to my childhood. As I read it, it was confusing yet made me feel joy as I continued reading. It shows true lessons throughout the story--in a way that teasing your sibling isn't fun.

    15. Brother didn't see the reason everyone got on to him when he teased Sister. She didn't like it, and he would say don't be so sensitive. BUT when the tides are turned and Brother gets teased everywhere he goes He soon learns it's not so fun to be teased.

    16. This is one I've had since I was a child and lately my kids have been obsessed with it. They've been asking to read it every day for at least two weeks. It's a good example of what teasing is and why it's not a good idea.

    17. Brother Bear thinks that teasing is fun and people (especially Sister Bear) should just be less sensitive. When Brother finds himself to be the one at the receiving end of an avalanche of teasing he is forced to rethink his position on the subject.

    18. I read this to my nephew today and really enjoyed it. I even found myself laughing at points (like when sister told mother bear that brother bear didn't have a virus), which rarely happens when i read children's books.

    19. The story deals with teasing at school with borderline bullying. Like other Berenstain bears books, the story acknowledges and gives a realistic view of the problem and shows a balanced approach of dealing with them.

    20. This is a good book to read when teasing or bullying have come up in the classroom. It is about Brother bear and how he likes to tease until it starts happening to him. Then he sticks up for someone else. It is just a great book to show that teasing isnt the answer.

    21. He's her own brother, but Sister is pleasedwhen the tables are turnedand Brother gets teased.Brother gets teased when he gets a special job from the principal. A new kid comes to school who gets teased instead of him so Brother decides to help him.Can be paired with The Bully.

    22. I loved the Bernstein Bears as a chid. I find these void more difficult to read as an adult. The lessons are great though.

    23. These stories have so much character and so much promise, it helps to know that there are still books out there I can read to my children to help them learn right from wrong!

    24. I love to read Berenstain bears books.I like when brother bear starts agreeing with sister bear about teasing.

    25. Brother Bear loves to tease! But, when some kids at school start teasing him, he learns that teasing isn't always fun and games!

    26. Overall, kids get the idea, that teasing can be a form of bullying and if you don't like it then don't do it to someone elseright Mama Bear?

    27. This one sparked some interesting conversations about whether it's the words you say or the way you say them that make teasing feel mean.
