    1 thought on “Blood Monster”

    1. A father tells his two children about the "Blood Monster" and probably creeps out his wife and maybe isn't good at being a father or a husband.Neil Gaiman's Rarities Humble Bundle.

    2. Read May 2016Got this as part of Neil Gaiman's 2015 rarities Humble Bundle.I liked the art, quite different from what I'm used to seeing in comics, not too impressed with the story though.I have no idea what kind of star-rating to give to this though, so I’m just going to leave it without.

    3. I imagined this is what Neil's life was like when he was married to his first wife and still involved in Scientology. It's an interesting tale. I liked it.

    4. Got this as part of the 2016 Humble Bundle, though it turns our I already had it as it was reprinted in Prince of Stories: The Many Worlds of Neil Gaiman. This is a good start. And then it ends. Makes you wish it was finished, but as it is, it is not a "chilling horror tale" but a prelude to one we will never read. Still, not total rubbish, as it does have some atmosphere. 2 out of 5.

    5. Ne vem, kako naj to ocenim. L e 4 strani črno-belega stripa. Všeč mi je bila risba. še posebaj ko oče pripoveduje o pošati, a vidimo materin odziv. Na nek način prikazuje družinsko življenje, odnos med očetom in otrokoma, ženo in možem. Verjetno večina odgovornosti pade na materina ramena.

    6. I liked it because it's so weird, absurd, and simple. I kinda expected the story to involve real monster somehow but it didn't and I liked it even more.

    7. This short comic is the beginning of a story that explores the concept of monsters who haunt our nightmares, specifically the blood monster, a being that enters the house by taking over one of the house’s normal occupants. As with most things, only the children in the story can see the blood monster, and their parents are unaware of the danger it holds - a concept that Gaiman explores further in stories like Coraline and The Wolves in the Walls, where children become responsible for ridding th [...]

    8. This one was very short and kind of odd. It's a comic that shows a dad telling his kids a bedtime story about the blood monster. His wife is having none of it, but lets him go along anyway. The story was very short and it feels like it wasn't quite finished. I would've liked to see more. Was it just a bedtime story? Did the kids have nightmares about the blood monster? Did that bring it to life? This could've been an amazing horror story if it just got a little more attention and/or time from th [...]

    9. I quite liked it. But it's fairly short, and could use more substance. The father is brilliant, as are the drawings. I want to hear more about the Blood Monster.

    10. A fairly pointless fragment. Some of Neil Gaiman's rarities had dropped out of sight for good reason.
