    1. The last book I read by Marjorie Bowen was a perfect gothic novel. I wasn't as expecting as much from one of her historical works but I found I really enjoyed this as well. The story itself tells the story of the massacre at Glen Coe, but it also includes conspiracies at all levels and unlike a lot of historical books has the women play a very important role. Bowen writes really interesting women characters. She also writes about people that aren't simply good or bad but has a way of making ever [...]
