    1. 'A Dangerous Damsel' by Kimberly Bell is book Two in the "Countess Scandals" series. This is the story of Ewan and Deidre. I have not yet read the previous book "A Convenient Engagement", so for me this was a standalone book. Although I do want to read that book after reading this one!Deidre is trying to help her brother once again get money he has lost. Deidre is a known survivor and does what she must to get what she needs to help him. Deidre is different from a lot of Historical Women Charact [...]

A Dangerous Damsel wasa lot of fun, yall. The characters, the dangerous bits, and the steamy ones too. The quick of it is that Deidre will do whatever she has to to keep her and her baby brother alive. If it means stealing and swindling be it! Got herself a bit more than she bargained for when she spot [...]

    3. “A Dangerous Damsel” is the second book in Kimberly Bell’s Countess Scandals series, but works just fine as a standalone book. Ms. Bell is a new author to me, but I always love to read new authors, especially those who write in the historic Scotland genre in hopes of finding books for my particular catnip. This one did not disappoint. The Story- Ewan has just been informed of his father’s death, which means he is the new laird. Add to that the surprise of being robbed naked by a bewitchin [...]

    4. A Dangerous Damsel by Kimberly Bell is a very entertaining Scottish Historical Romance. #2 in "The Countess Scandals", but can be read as a stand alone.Well written with well developed, charming characters and a well thought-out, a bit complex but very intriguing storyline. With witty banter, danger, mystery, suspense, passion, trust, and romance, the characters bring to life the complexities of survival and finding love during times of hardship, pain and sled sacrifice. A few truths are reveale [...]

    5. I personally think Ewan is pleased with his woman's garments or lack of, “yer a wicked woman, Deidre.” He looked the length of her bare skin. “Do ye even own undergarments?” Even delirious and bloody Ewan likes whatever comes out of his woman's mouth, “you’re an idiot, you know that?” Ah yes, the honey sweet words of his lady love. “I ought to stab you myself for being so foolish.” I really liked this book it was so entertaining.

The moment you're not in control, get out. And one man to crumble them all to dust.We met with an unusual heroine in this second book on Kimberly Bell's The Countess Scandals' series. Deidre Morgan was a seducer and swindler, she was no proper lady. When her younger brother fell in with the dangerous people of her past, Deidre's tric [...]

    8. 4.5/5 stars. If you've read the other book in this series, A Convenient Engagement, this story follows Gavan's cousin Ewan as he inherits his own lordship in Scotland. and has some trouble along the way. Although the book continues to story you don't need to have read the prior book to enjoy it.Ewan and Deirdre—the "Dangerous Damsel"—are a much more adventurous pair than Bell's previous protagonists. When they first meet, Deirdre relieves Ewan of his clothes, and not in the usual way! She's a [...]

    9. I loved the first book in this series but this one left me wanting more. The problem for me were the holes throughout the story. There seemed to be an interesting story between the villain and Deidre but it was never fully told. It was stated he was evil and should be feared but the 'why' was never flushed out. I didn't know what made her brother so fond of the villain either. There was a brief mention of a tragic event that occurred in Deidre' s past and with that I never could buy how willing [...]

    10. Fun and entertaining second book in the Countess Scandals series. This was Ewan's story who we were introduced to in book one. I really loved him in the first book, so was eager to read this one. It took things in a direction I wasn't expecting when Ewan gets a letter asking him to return to his childhood castle. He gets more than he was expecting when he is robbed while swimming. This takes his journey in a different direction putting him in Deidre's path. The two of them have chemistry right f [...]
