    1. This book was okay to me I'm not 100% sure that I would read this in my classroom just because I think there's a lot more entertaining books for kids. I think this book would be good to read to kids that don't know how to read yet because they wouldn't be overwhelmed by the amount of words on the page and they would have to rely solely on you reading it to them. I also think it would be nice for them to be able to hold with you because it's smaller than most children's books.

    2. I was sorting throw old books I read to my young boys, and read this one today. I passed it on to my grand children. The little Golden books cost $.49 when I bought them. It was fun to get my son's reaction to the books all these years later.

    3. The verse isn't very fluid and I don't like the weasel being called a "mean old weasel" when it seems he is just rather hungry, but the illustrations of plump bunnies and woodland scenes are fabulous. Ours is the 1981 printing Little Golden Book, but the cover is different than the one shown. Ours has 89 cents with 481-31 underneath it in the upper right corner, the title is in red, there are no background trees and "a Little Golden Book" is in the bottom left corner.

    4. What do I like best about this book? The fact that when I had my daughter, my cousin sent me a box of "hand me down clothes" and included in the box were a couple childrens books, old childrens books, and old childrens books that I had written my name in. This is one of the books. My name is written on the inside cover in childish print. This book was mine. I read it when I was probably 5 or 6 years old. That is why I like this book.

    5. This is a funny little story that I discovered in the paperback swap section of our library. I don't remember ever reading it as a child, but I thought our girls might like it. I love the fact that it was written the year my Dad was born, so it's an oldie, but goodie (sorry Dad!)

    6. This was one of my all-time favourite books as a child, I loved the crafty rabbit and how he sneakily pulled one over on the poor weasel. Nature is cruel.
