    1. Some good info, but this book is very poorly organized. Like, a total mess. For the casual reader seeking a light intro to Chinese history (like me), I would suggest looking elsewhere.

    2. I cannot claim to be an expert in Chinese history, but this book contains several major historical inaccuracies, some of them quite obvious. In one of them, the author states that Kung Fu: 'goes back to over 1.7 million years ago'. I highly doubt it. The earliest finds of modern Homo sapiens skeletons date to 200,000 years ago. Something's not quite right.
