    1. Each word felt like a splinter of ice that had been mined out of a frozen lake and extracted by a bloody fist. The story had too many spikes and jagged lines. The main character's sudden leap from being a hetero male to having a full blown attraction to men contributed to it and all because he was possessed by a gay reincarnated ancestor.I understood the urgency of the character's need to live yet everything felt stuffed into a suitcase prepared for a long journey with bits of embarrassment fallin [...]

    2. I counted down the days for this book and I was not disappointed! I was drawn into the mysticism of Salem and Marblehead. What happens when two covens collide? An ancient curse on bloodline, a love that has lasted through the centuries, witches and warlocks--what more could you ask for?Absolutely adored this book! I hope there is another installment in this series soon!

    3. Holy crap this was one of the worst books I've ever read. I'm still shook. Can't believe I actually wasted my time finishing this

    4. I am going to apologize in advance, because this review may contain quite a bit of gushing and incoherent witchy fangirling and babbling. I can't help it - this book was exactly my kind of read. But before I even get into how much I loved this book, I have to express my admiration for the way the author was able to make me feel like I was home again. I am from Boston, went to college in Salem, and worked in Marblehead at the same time. I have spent years of my life there and miss it quite a bit [...]

    5. This was a really sweet and fun story. Nico is soon approaching his 25th birthday when he finds out everything he thought about his parents abandoning him might have been wrong. Not only that, but that there are witches and a curse, and he is all but doomed unless he finds a way to stop it. So, he travels to the place it all began to search for clues. When he gets there, he learns more about the curse and about Corbin, the man he is supposedly tied to and is very much involved in the curse as wel [...]

    6. What can I say? I loved this book. I seriously think T.S. McKinney put a spell on it. I was entranced right from the start and couldn’t put the book down. It was mesmerizing. The writing is captivating and fast paced but never rushed. The plot is very well thought out and kept me second-guessing constantly. With every answer, new questions arose. Every time I was thrown for a loop and I sat on the edge of my seat seeing what came next. Some stories featuring witches are rather dark and gloomy, [...]

    7. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.I absolutely loved this book!! I was so excited when I first saw this was coming out as I love stories about witches. And this one did not disappoint! Not only was the story well written, you will absolutely fall in love with Nico and Corbin. Well paced, with some steamy scenes, and even humor make this a fantastic read. And Alastairease tell me he is getting his own book?! Looking forward to the next in this series

    8. A satisfying read with some good magical scenes sprinkled around. I'm looking forward to the next installment in the series.

    9. "She was the first woman I’d ever made love to""I’d fancied myself in love with her every damned day of our freshman year"Just your typical MM Romance character filling us in on his heterosexuality! One day I'm going to read an MM Romance novel with gay characters, and I'm going to drop dead from shock.

    10. The introduction and prologue pretty much give away the low standards of the entire book: the choice of internal focalization (first person point of view) is made far harder to bear than it should have been because of abysmally bad writing and its usual corollary an absence of imaginative and descriptive powers. How indeed to describe otherwise than as 'painful' a prose style that bristles with f-bombs and b-bombs (4 "fuck"/"fucking" and 5 "bullshit" in the prologue, just 20 pages in my ebook re [...]

    11. 4.5 / 5 StarsThis truly is a well written book and had me captivated to the very end. Before turning 25, orphan Nico discovers his parents' suicide wasn't just that but a curse put on one of his ancestors hundreds of years ago. To find a way to save himself, he travels to Marblehead, Massachusetts where all started. There, he discovers more things than he's ready to unknown and some nasty enemy who might be behind everything. But not all is bad, he make friends with a perky guy called Alastair w [...]

    12. First of all, the cover for this book is just beautiful. I was on the fence about reading this since I haven't read much on witches in the past but I kept seeing this cover and just had to see what was inside. The Introduction was appreciated. It explained a lot, so I didn't have to try to figure out the basics of the storyline. It left me just to enjoy this well planned and well-written story about a love that lasts through the ages.Nico is a good, strong character. His practical and emotional d [...]

    13. This is the first book in The Witches Of Salem Series. What an outstanding book the writing was terrific. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters wonderful. The characters were well developed and thought out. Corbin and Nicolas are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, witches, Salem, Fish and Chips, spells, betrayal, a flying bed and so much more in this book. Here is a quote from the book, “How about to avoid any awkwardness I just [...]

    14. ⚡️💫Reincarnation? Curses? True love and mysterious disappearances?⚡️💫Who doesn't love a good mystery. This paranormal fantasy involves all stated above. With the approach of his twenty fifth birthday, Nicholas has found his life has changed changing. A descendant of a powerful family, he now realised his life and death has been forewarned and in order to survive he has to break the curse surrounding him.Corbin had lost his love through jealousy and hate. 15. This book was amazing! It is unlike anything I have ever read. I was hooked from the first page and I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters, loved the story, and I cannot wait to read more of this series. Definite one-click must read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    16. Review to follow at Scattered Thoughts and Rogue WordsC provided by Painted Hearts Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

    17. 5 magical stars for this beautiful book.I discover T.S. McKinney with 'Gasping for air' that I really loved and this one did not disappoint.I am a sucker for magic and witches and True Love and this story have it all.The story was so well written, we enter into this world flawlessly. The fact that Nico and Corbin doesn't meet before at least 50% of the book but Nico have dreams and memories of Corbin made the insta-love really real. I am usually not a big fan of that but in this case I totally b [...]

    18. I really liked to world this book built, old school magic and Salem witches are such an interesting topic!I felt like this book had a bit of Harry Potter in it, with the curse over Nicholas's family and what happen to his parents. At times I thought parts of the story were rushed, or not detailed enough but all in all I liked this story. I felt like Nicholas's sexuality was not defined, at times he was attracted to males and new about it and other times it was very new to him.I wish there was mo [...]

    19. 4.3* Review written for Love Bytes Reviews.I really liked this one; from the moment I read the Introduction, which blends historical information and the general story set up, I was hooked and looked forward to getting into the heart of the book. Told in first person point of view, the story follows Nico as he tries to unravel the truth behind the curse that causes all the men of his family to kill themselves on their 25th birthdays. The problem? He’ll be 25 in about two weeks and information a [...]
