    1. Bioterrorism at its best. It’s a thriller, very detailed, which makes the pace a bit slow at times. According to other gossip this is actually possible today. I enjoyed the storyline and would happily pick up one of her books again. Great characters. If you’re an addict or an alcoholic, I would ignore the jibes about AA and therapy. Recovery takes a lot more than 30 days in a rehab, in fact it never ends. Many thanks to the author, to Publisher Wild Roads Press and to Netgalley for the advanc [...]

    2. ---4.5 Stars---Excellent read! Fantastic characters! Creative storyline with realistic details!I love a good mystery, suspense book and this one totally fits the bill! After Mia Lindgren, a scientist, who had lost her sister to a serial killer a few years earlier, completely throws herself into her work full-time. As Mia thought she had put her past behind her, that is all about to change after Mia’s lab partner turns up dead under very suspicious circumstances. Mia realizes she is about to fal [...]

    3. I loved this book! I couldn't put it down. We meet the heroine, Mia, in a lab and learn that her partner, another scientist, has been killed in an accident. But is it really an accident? Mia has her doubts. Then, a mysterious disease hits a small town in Alaska, and nearly everyone dies. Mia is studying Ebola, and the disease resembles it somewhat - but is it really Ebola or something more sinister? When she gets a sample of the virus, she's stunned to see it doesn't resemble anything she's seen [...]

    4. Independent Reviewer for Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! This was a great read! It kept me on my toes, kept me reading, held my attention, and kept me guessing. It wasn’t until nearing the last quarter of the story that I was able to make a good guess who the “bad guy” was. I made a guess and was wrong and had to read a little bit more to find out for sure who it was. The author did a great job writing twists and turns to keep you guessing and keep the story interesting. The details and [...]

    5. What an exciting, edge-of-the-seat thrilling Romantic Suspense! The author has created an unfortunately all-too-believable scenario and populated it with interesting and flawed protagonists along with evil, greedy antagonists with skewed, fanatical ideals. There are plenty of twists as the evil manipulators are relentlessly pursued and finally revealed.Mia works with the deadliest viruses in the world. Her work is her life. Nick is a disgraced FBI agent enrolled in a voluntary Rehab program. The [...]

    6. 3.5 stars! Interesting story that kept me intrigued until the end. The characters are well developed and realistic, with believable struggles, and I liked both Mia and Nick a lot. The end felt a little rushed and left me scratching my head about a couple of things, but not enough to have a large effect on my enjoyment of the story overall. Things are wrapped up--there is no cliffhanger. I didn't read the first book in this series, and this one can certainly be read as a standalone, but the chara [...]

    7. Collateral Risk is a thrilling read! I did not notice that it is part of a series until after I read this one. So, it can definitely be read as a standalone. It is full of "what if‘s" that really makes one think. Many scenes are believable with a lot of suspense. It could be a little slow at times, but picks back up quickly.I give Collateral Risk 3 1/2 stars. I would like to read the other book of the series, as well.I received this book from the publisher. This review was 100% my own honest o [...]
