    1. I am a vampire snob. I do not apologize for that. Most of what passes for "vampire romance" is painfully bad to me--rehashing the same old tropes (or worse creating a new mythos that the author doesn't bother to stick to). I like my vampires to be amoral (and sometimes immoral) beings who know they're the apex predator. If they're angsty it's because they have a great reason to be (like having lived through some of the worst depredations perpetrated by man). I don't need them driving Escalades w [...]

    2. I really enjoyed this book. I really really did. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good vamp' story. The guy is Japanese and the woman is A.American, if you have a prob' with interracial couples then you might as well skip this book. The only thing that would irk my nerves is the female character's attitude. let's just say she has a really big one and leave it at that lol. Even I found myself saying "just shut up already. geez." But she does tone down some where she's not irritating. i [...]

    3. I honestly loved this booke idea that it brought together three of my favorite things in a story (a plus size heroine, vampires, and Japanese culture) made it a HAD TO HAVE. while some of the plot did have me blinking in ay what?? kind of fashion, most of the story was perfect to me. the fact that she was a strong female and not some weeping, whimpering, confused female was huge plus. the fact that she actually had some skill and something to add to his "coven" also was appreciated. Hide was a m [...]

    4. Japanese vampires? I loved it! I just couldn't get past Bonnie's reactions to Hide and what was happening to her and around her. I can't imagine anyone would react so calmly and accepting. Ummm. No. At least not right away. I don't care how sexy he is. This is what held the book back for me. Based on reviews I was worried about how Bonnie was going to come across. I personally didn't get a "ghetto" vibe from her. So she had a potty mouth, that doesn't and didn't make her ghetto. I would definite [...]

    5. I love this book. I would suggest this book to anyone. I think that the author outdid herself. I cant wait for the next book. If you like vampires and love, challange, respect, witty retorts, and an all around good book this is it.

    6. I found this book very original both the plot and the characters. Japanese vampires, ancient and modern, love and betrayal, and nothing is too much for granted.

    7. Editor sorely neededThe premise of this story was a good one, although the h was very immature at times. Most of all , it was difficult to read at times because there were missed words, misspelling, sentence fragments and more.

    8. oooo how ghetto this book was. and how poorly written how do remain so clam and ask a vampire to bite i am about to go crazy why is that 99.9 percent of black authors cant write a decent story with out the heroine being a whore ghetto and pathetic i about to give up

    9. Though this book really really needed an editor, I enjoyed it in spite of it's problems. Bonnie and Hide are funny, intelligent characters that became more interesting as the story progressed.
