    2. Linda is in my writers' critique group and I've had the pleasure of hearing her read aloud this historical fiction book she was writing. Each week I would anticipate the next installment, as if I was listening to a story on the radio. Absolutely delightful and gripping story of a young girl who is abducted from her Cornwall, England home in the early 1850s and taken to gold Rush San Francisco and her young friend, Ian, who searches for her. There's adventure and romance, and many surprising twis [...]

    3. I would recommend this book to anyone. I absolutely LOVE this book & thoroughly enjoyed reading it!! It has easily become one of my favorites and a book to read for many years to come. I instantly fell in love with the characters especially Hope and Ian. I tried to restrain myself from devouring every page too quickly so that I may enjoy the story more which proved difficult. Needless to say I read it & can't wait to read it again. So hard to let go of the characters thougha definite fan [...]

    4. This was an excellent, unpredictable story! I really fell in love with the charactersor despised them appropriately. I was completely dragged into the adventure and was so satisfied with the ending! I hated saying goodbye to Ian and Hope, though, since we'd all been through so much together.
