    1. I'm not really a fan of Hemingway. He was a talented, even a great writer and I do like many of his "stories" (mostly his outdoor and hunting stories) but over all his view of life is one I can't "agree with" (as it ended in his taking his own life I think some of my reasons may be evident). Still I'm fascinated and even envy him in some ways. He did have a love of the outdoors, of adventure (some I wouldn't have been able to take part in, but still.) he loved hunting.     2. Whatever one might think of Hemingway it can't be denied that he was one of the literary giants of the mid-20th century. Love him or hate him he left his mark. His legacy is still felt today despite the efforts of some to disparage him and his writing.
