    1. For anyone facing the uncertainty of a diagnosis of breast cancer, or who knows and loves someone who is--this book will be your launch pad, your lifeline, your security blanket and your research partner throughout diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. The book is gorgeously laid out and extremely easy to navigate. It's divided into three sections dealing with every decision needed during diagnois, pre-surgery, and post-surgery; it features an extensive glossary for all those words your doctor may [...]

    2. This book is most comprehensive guide for a breast cancer patient, probably our bible. It contains widely the most updated information about modern therapies, treatment plans, recent clinical studies, and patient options and is written in a very accessible language and with so much understanding. It helped me to understand my choices, risks and how to avoid radical treatment, and how to manage the treatment physically and emotionally. It's sad that patients write so many blogs with medical specul [...]

    3. Sorry I'm biased but having researched this book for 4 years, and already read by patients who gave me feedback or who wanted my help immediately with more information, the feedback I have received has been very humbling indeed. I hope it helps the thousands of women out there who often need more information than they are receiving

    5. This is a clearly written, well-structured, informative guide to what you need to know when you're diagnosed with breast cancer. I have found it so useful while navigating my diagnosis, and John uses plenty of garden analogies for those of us with limited medical knowledge. Some of it was less relevant to me (and it was a little irritatingly heteronormative) but I am so grateful that this exists and prevents me from scaring myself with google doctor.
