    1. I used to read this to my boys when they were little. It's really not a children's book. Little Bunny is an angry guy who goes on a Baby Face Nelson rampage, and winds up in jail. In the end, he is redeemed, but with no redeeming qualities other than pitiable compassion.

    2. Originally published in 1987. Beautifully illustrated sardonic picture book. Hilariously deadpan for the adult reader and yet can be engaging for all ages. The depiction of friendship, of sincere friendship being more important than society's demands, of name calling and nickname appropriation are all more 'heartfelt' rather than moralising. Refreshing as an early episode of The Simpsons.
