    1. If you're a fan of author Connie Suttle's Blood Destiny series, you're in for a delightful treat. She is set to release Bumble on February 1, 2012, the first book in a new series of young adult fantasy fiction called The Legend of the Ir'Indicti.Bumble is set in rural western Oklahoma, in the experimental paranormal community of Cloud Chief, populated by werewolves, vampires, and shapeshifters. Ashe Evans, the 12-year-old-going-on-40 central character is facing all of the usual hardships of any [...]

    2. I originally came up with the idea for Ashe as I was writing something else. I wanted a nickname for a character, and it had to be either an insect or a tiny mammal. Enter the bumblebee bat, the tiniest mammal in existence. It was natural that a shapeshifting child came from that, and his alter ego might prove slightly embarrassing to his peers. Ashe is bigger than that, however, and learns that he's even more special than anyone imagines.

    3. Why on earth would anybody want to be a werewolf or a vampire? Well, for teenager Ashe, being the only full human in his rural community of paranormal oddities has its drawbacks. In fact, since he seemingly has no paranormal powers or attributes like sprouting claws or drinking blood, his principal might have to send him to a humans-only public high school out of town, away from the only life he knows. Bumble is far from another Twilight, though. In fact, it soon becomes a YA murder mystery once [...]

    4. Exciting and entertaining from start to finishThis book kept me turning the pages right til the end. Absolutely loved it can't wait to read the next one

    5. If you plan on reading Suttle's Blood Destiny series, this book starts after events in Blood Royal (Blood Destiny #6), so fair warning. This series also affects the later High Demon series, starts with Demon Lost, and is an essential part of of the God Wars series, starts with Blood Double, which is the latest series to be released.I like that she changed it up and did a male main character this time too!

    6. Very good book. A keeper. As I'm not usually a reader of young adult novels, I was a little apprehensive about reading oneN'T BE!! This is a wonderful book. Readers of all ages will certainly enjoy it. If you like the way Ms Suttle writes in the Blood Destiny Series, you will love this one.See my complete review on Pure Textuality (puretextuality), along with an interview with Ms Suttle.Fascinating

    7. The author was great when she came to my sons Creative Writing class it's all he talked about so I read the book. It's a easy read, smooth paced story. I enjoyed the supernatural aspect and the fact that she throws in a character of a White Buffalo which is a sacred Native American animal and the books based in Oklahoma. If you have teens or Tweens they will be able to identify with Ashe and his struggles to find acceptance, be brave, and stand by his convictions.

    8. Fits like a jigsaw piece with many other Connie Suttle books. This book explains Ashe's talents, and where his origins lie. It has many twists and turns which make it difficult to put down. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

    9. I really like Connie Suttle writing style so I gave this book a try. I was quite surprise that it interlaces with Blood Destiny (another Connie series) so much. If you're a fan of the other series I recommend this one.

    10. Great startA new series. This series is about Ashe, a child of a shifter and a vampire. The first book is about the community he lives in with other shifters, werewolves, and vampires. The community is hidden from humans. This is a solid start and nice set up for this series.

    11. loved it. very diffirent from blood destiny series as ashe's pov and he is a teenager on top of it!! i will read it again.

    12. Good beginningGood beginningI have read this series a couple of times. I can not get over the characters in this book. my cousin enjoys it too.

    13. Brilliant start to series - teen fiction but can appeal to all ages. Love the way all Connie's books and series overlap characters in places and interlink.

    14. If you enjoyed the Blood Destiny series, you will like this series as well. Although its labeled as a YA series, it is perfect for adults as well!

    15. I like the character of Ashe and enjoyed this story. I'll be interested to see where it goes in the next book.

    16. Good book liked the young character and his struggle to grow and be accepted for who and what he was .Good read
